Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro is an Italian restaurant in the Freeport neighborhood of Freeport.
“Ordered first meal in Maine and was amazing. Incredible lobster roll and truffle fries. Great happy hour drink specials too. Spicy margaritas were spicy but tasty. Nice that the lobster roll and fries was also split for us as I shared the dish with another person.”
“My wife and I absolutely LOVE eggplant. We have eaten various eggplant dishes all over Maine and while we love Anjon’s for the traditional eggplant parm, Tuscan Bistro’s eggplant sandwich with focaccia is absolutely delightful. It’s scrumptious, succulent and not overly breaded. And the side salad is loaded with goodness. The truffle fries were yummy and not too greasy. If you love eggplant like we do, give them a try! Great value too at $20 with the add ons. 👏”
“The Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro at the end of the shopping area in Freeport was outstanding find. There are several outside tables for dining in the summer and the interior is a delightful newer atmosphere. They have a large set up to bar with a dress, lots of wine choices, and a full cocktail menu. We luckily arrived at two and Monday through Thursday is their half price happy hour on beers and cocktails. I tried the stout, the brownie, and. The coach beer and all works seemingly drinkable. For our meal, I had a haddock chowder, which was the best oud eaten the entire week, traversing the central and lower coast of Maine. I also had their muscles which were large, tender and done perfectly. My wife had a delicious apple cranberry walnut Gorgonzola salad. This ended up being one of my favorite meals of our week in Maine. our service was impeccable and the prices were very reasonable. Even though it was mid afternoon, there were 20 tables of patrons and Moore available. This restaurant should be listed as one of the best in Maine.”
“We ordered the cheese pizza, the wagyu crostini, and the chicken parm sandwich. The wagyu crostini and chicken parm were both delicious — super flavorful and really well done. The cheese pizza had good flavor, but it was a bit too heavy on the cheese for my preference and the bottom could’ve used a little more of that classic brick-oven crisp. Still tasty, just not quite as oven-fired as expected. Overall, solid spot with a cozy atmosphere and great service. (And great on-site parking!)”
“This place was recommended to us by one of the local check out girls from the store we were shopping at. Went on a Sunday evening and the place was packed from all the afternoon shoppers looking for a place to eat. Wait time was about 45min so the bar was offered and it had full menu and could be seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and I lucked out because the waitress was also the bar tender which made things seamless. The food was tasty and the prices were pretty reasonable. I would definitely go back!”
