Mother’s Bistro & Bar is an American restaurant in the Downtown neighborhood of Portland.
“I had the pleasure of dining at Mother's Bistro & Bar for both breakfast and dinner. The experience was delightful; the food was so appetizing that I immediately dove in and neglected to take any photographs. I enjoyed the flaky French toast, perfectly soft-scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and their signature house mimosa. During my dinner dining experience at Mother's Bistro & Bar, I ordered the pot roast, and while it wasn't quite like my own mother’s cooking, it was one of the better menu choices. . .”
“Great place! I recommend making a reservation as the walk in wait times can be high. Food was excellent, service was great. They are a high volume restaurant with experienced staff so things move fairly quickly once you are seated. Enjoy!”
“Great brunch place around the downtown area. The serving is large. I ordered a key lime pie and a full pancake, which I should just ordered half. The pie is a bit too sweet. Overall, it is a great place to have American brunch with reasonable price. I recommend trying.”
“Solid brunch spot. Food was prepped with care and attention to detail. The chef takes her craft seriously, even had homemade jam to spread on your toast. Lovely “mother of the month” feature on the menu with recipes by real mothers. They would know best! The ambience was really stylish, yet with a classic, comfort food vibe. The service was also outstanding and willing to put up with my stupid dad joke banter. Wild salmon hash has was a highlight for me. The way the components came together was really complimentary! Rich, creamy, with salmon goodness wrapped in. My only complaint was the pancake felt a little dry, but that was easily remedied with a hard pour of maple syrup. Come have a delicious breakfast at this joint! The place was bustling.”
“We came up from Los Angeles and our friend told us to definitely make a stop at Mother's restaurant in downtown Portland. So we did and had a great time. The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant was full of people and very lively. The staff were very nice, genuine & kind. The servce was stellar, but because I used to be a chef and very sensitive about food, the soup of the day & the Omelet Dejour came out lukewarm & the toast was cold. That was the only downfall but we still had a great experience & we definitely recommend everyone to try it out!”
