“Perrons is one of those, "not my first rodeo" - type restaurants. The menu is well composed, but not overwhelming. The restaurant is dim, but inviting and intimate. On any given night, dates, business, and friends reconnecting are all occurring in the small, but very well utilized space. Their drinks are stellar and among the best I've had anywhere. The food is beautiful and perfectly cooked. Its one of those rare places you want to keep to yourself, for the fear of it changing to accommodate increased traffic or patronage. Get the specials, always. The Brussels and the gnocchi sides are the best deals on the menu. The steaks are large and the (non seafood) add-ons are worth it. I'll say the pairings of seafood are normally a bit spendy comparatively, but when they have seafood specials, they're really good. If they have a filled pasta on special, get that. They've never missed with a filled pasta, and the short rib ravioli my wife had 5+ years ago is still one of the best dishes I've eaten in my entire life. The list of restaurants as good as Perrons in MN is short. Maybe 5 or less. And almost nowhere has their level of quality combined with relatively reasonable prices. Take someone special and enjoy yourselves.”

“I’ve been to Sul Lago more times than I can count, and I’ve never had a bad experience. Hands down the best Italian spot south of the river, consistent, welcoming, and always delicious. The staff is top-notch, Shauna, Zeke, Julie, and Jared make you feel right at home and always deliver great service. Some of my favorites: Chicken Parmesan – absolutely to die for and large portion Steaks – cooked perfectly every time and great plain or with Sul Lago sauce Bruschetta, mussels, salads – flavorful and fantastic starters Delicious cocktails – well-crafted and strong Desserts – the blueberry bread pudding + chocolate cake are both unreal The filet tip gnocchi is a go-to, but I love trying the nightly specials, every pasta I’ve had here has been fantastic.”

“Great place! Group of 6 and everyone loved the food, cocktails, and service. Pear martinis were a hit and so were the steaks and pastas. A few reasons for losing a star: 1 - bread basket is delightful but not complimentary like it is at nearly every $$$$ restaurant we visit, 2 - no birthday kicks, 3 - the steak add-ons. The server reiterated they were jumbo scallops and $8 each, so we expected jumbo. They were the smallest scallops at the table by far. Two at the party had different seafood pastas and their scallops, included in their meal price, were at least double the size of the add-on scallops which were $9 a pop on the bill. Despite that, we enjoyed the meal and cozy atmosphere. We normally go to Porterhouse in Lakeville, the group liked the change and would do it again, without the add-ons.”

“The service here was very slow, but our food was great. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly, the side of garlic mashed potatoes was huge (enough for 2). I had the cioppino and it was certainly the highlight of our dinner! It was great! We had reservations for 5 and did not get a server to put our order in (she did get us drinks right away) until 5:30, which luckily we had some extra time to wait.”
