Tribute Pizza is North Park’s Neighborhood Mom ‘n Pop Pizza Shop. We make the pizza that we want to eat, that we want to share; it’s inspired by and shares the traits of many styles of pizza from around the world. It’s a Tribute… We’re humbled to have been named #36 in the US by Top50Pizza, one of the Top 25 Pizzas in America (Thrillist) and a repeat winner of “Best Pizza in San Diego” (by the UT, SD Reader, and SD Mag). In addition to our celebrated pizza, we bake our own bread, and offer a selection of hot and cold appetizers, seasonal salads, and housemade desserts. Simply put, everything on the menu is from scratch, prepared with love, with intention, and without compromise. We carry local beer brewed by our friends in the neighborhood, our wine list is curated and not an afterthought, and our full bar features whimsical seasonal specialties and Tributes to classics alike.
“My husband and I were coming to San Diego to visit our son for the weekend , and he was telling us about this pizza restaurant that got voted 34th out of 50 in the USA - and it was in an old US Post Office . Managed to get a late Saturday night table . WOW - what amazing pizza - best I have ever had 👏👏 I love Margarita pizza so just had to try that and it did not disappoint .The base was so delicious and just the right amounts of tomato and cheese and basil . Our family each had their own pizzas and we shared a kale salad to start . The atmosphere was just right and the staff were attentive and delightful . I would most definitely give this pizza restaurant 10/10 . Go book a table - you won’t be disappointed .”
“Love the service, ordered cheese Neapolitan, Detroit w/ Mikes hot honey, Kale Caesar, Sangria, Tribute IPA, Shirley Temple. Great environment for dates and family alike. Comfortable booths if you prefer it and noise at a perfect level. 5/5 everything, food, service, speed even! We will be back, maybe for a special occasion! Only thing that can be tough is the final check, lol! Great time, thanks for a wonderful experience.”
“My partner and I had an amazing time at Tribute as a make-up Valentine's day night. The kale salad was amazing, the Calabrian chili really stood out. Same effect on the lady diavolo pizza. The dirty dancing was really elevated with the shaved red onion, and the harissa ranch was a nice touch, even though I'm not usually a pizza drizzle fan. The pistachio rasberry bread pudding was divine, and the soft serve perfectly balanced it out. The wow factor for the night was definitely our server Kevin. Super knowledgeable about the menu, and also very attentive and ready to help. He saw my partner dumping on the red pepper flakes, and asked him if he wanted extras without us prompting him at all. We really enjoyed our time here!”
“When I knew I was coming to San Diego I searched for the best pizza place in San Diego and Tribute came up. I was really intrigued when I saw they were ranked 34th in the country and immediately booked a reservation. Let me tell you, I was BLOWN away! My expectations were surpassed and I can see why the are ranked one of the best of the best! The service was great! Our server was patient, kind, happy to accommodate and answer any questions we had. The food was DELICIOUS, I mean INCREDIBLE! We started off with the focaccia bread with burrata cheese and balsamic. LOVED IT! The side of oven roasted vegetables were so fresh. Our waiter told us they get them from the local farmers market. Now, for the best part….the PIZZA! They have a variety of pizzas you can order in three different sizes: Neapolitan, grandma, or New York style. My mom and sister had a New York style with pepperoni, sausage, and hot honey. I got a cheese pizza and added mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted peppers on the Neapolitan style. (I appreciated how accommodating they were)The crust was light and crisp. The ingredients were fresh. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. If you come to San Diego you need to put this on your must list!”
“We came here because it’s so highly acclaimed, so maybe I had high expectations… but I hate to say it, I was really unimpressed. We got the Burrata Pie + prosciutto, focaccia, Brussels + bacon. Starting off with the pizza, I love burrata, and I knew what to expect. But it really made the pizza so wet and watery, the consistency was honestly kinda gross. I ate less than one slice of this almost $50 pizza. It just wasn’t good. I wish it was. You see the pic…it looks AMAZING. But it wasn’t enjoyable. Then the Brussels were almost good, but they were just too salty to enjoy. Extremely salty instead of balanced. The focaccia might have been the best part. Really fresh and hot and steaming. You’ll see the Burrata Pie here in the picture, and it looks good, but the flavor was just bland, and the super watery bread situation made it pretty unappetizing. We also had tiramisu because we were celebrating something. I don’t recommend it at all. It tasted like straight liquor, and the texture was waxy. I know this sounds so negative, but it’s my honest review. You can see on my profile, I think this is my first negative review ever. I wish I liked it. The reviews are so positive, and maybe I should’ve chosen different items. It was just such a disappointment, I wouldn’t come back or recommend it. This food was just so disappointing and overpriced.”
