“I went here with my two kiddos ages 7 and 9 they loved the food and thought it was high-quality and we were happily surprised that they had a Kids menu. We particularly like the popovers - they were so puffy and so amazing that it was like biting into a cloud. The risotto was amazing. It was done to just the right level. The vegetables were great and fresh. The lemon dessert was also really good. It was like a pudding. It was nice. They serve served half glasses of wine. It was also great to see notes of an old train station.”
“The restaurant has great staff. The service is fast and very friendly. Every table is very well attended. The ambiance and music are very pleasant. Menu has some good vegetarian meatless options. Vegetarian burger is very delicious. Tomato soup with garlic bread and salted butter is yummy too. We loved their strawberry hibiscus fizz tea. Apple juice is the best of all! Their coffee and ice creams are great too!”
“I had one of their signature cocktails: violet chemistry. Also ordered a dozen oysters and the Caesar salad. Came in on a Monday evening. When I was seated I was the only one but gradually by the end of my meal the tables were almost all filled up. I enjoyed my cocktail and the oysters. The Caesar salad missed the mark for me but that could be a matter of person preference. I didn’t fully enjoy the dressing and found the lettuce to be a bit on the soft side. The chicken however was very moist. The croutons were very good. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing for me was that I was one of the few people in the restaurant but it took some time for my salad to come out.”
“Solid restaurant in the heart of point Reyes. One of the closest spots to the lighthouse with oysters and fish and chips. The clam chowder was chock full of clams but slightly thin for my taste. Still good but not hearty. The bread rolls with maple butter were dense kinda biscuit like but good. The salmon croquettes were delish and perfectly balanced with fresh apples and tartar sauce. Kids chicken strips with fries was very generous. Beer battered fish n chips was crispy light and airy. For $25 pricy but solid. Fish tacos were crisp and light but a bit bland. I dunked them in the extra tartar sauce we had. Overall 3 - 4 stars and one of the few restaurants in the area opened late!”
“This was my first time at this iconic cafe that is one of the oldest in Point Reyes. The decor inside is modern and welcoming. The Fries Oysters were tasty, but okay. The Clam Chowder was also okay. The Wagyu Skirt Steak was also okay. The service was good. Sadly the food was just okay for me. Check it out to see if there are better dishes than the ones we tried.”
