“Loved the concept, and the food was pretty tasty too. The garlic wasn’t overwhelming, even in the appetizer that was basically garlic and olive oil. The atmosphere is also really fun, great ambiance. Would recommend!”
“A San Francisco classic for Italian food, and the perfect restaurant for garlic lovers. This dark red vibey secret is located in North Beach and gets pretty busy so be sure to make a reservation. But the food and experience here is outstanding! The sizzling prime ribeye was to die for, great selection of wines, and of course don't forget the cloves of garlic bathing in a pool of olive oil over a hot flame. Vampires beware, there is garlic everywhere and in almost every dish. This place is a must see gem and a staple of SF Italian cuisine.”
“It's been 9 years since our last visit, and we were thrilled to learn that our favorite garlic restaurant has reopened. The new combined restaurant is spectacular, and was packed on a random winter Sunday evening. The service was super courteous, and food as good as ever. We tried the pot stickers, cremini mushroom pizza and tomato alfredo gnocchi. Perfetto! We're ecstatic they're back-- and we miss the meatballs!!!”
“Parking $25 around the corner. Food.. pricey. Husband loved his steak, mine was a bit plain and small. The bowl was huge, the portion small. Especially when adding $17.99 for crab to basic noodles, the Rib Eye was the same price! Unfortunately still shells in my crab and tasted fishy. Only other bummer was the pole i was sat behind upstairs. I couldn't see anything at all. I had to literally get up to look downstairs or around. Other than that it was good. The staff was very nice and friendly. They kept our water topped off! Very nice. For the price I should have ordered something different. There really weren't many options I would consider for me. Ill try again someday. I did love the Sandler vampire at the bathroom door! Sandler is my favorite celebrity 😍”
“It was okay. More disappointing. With this much garlic hype, I expected my eyes to water. But nah. I would not say its bad as a restaurant. But for the way they advertise, and the prices, I expected more. Instead, I got standard beef mushroom soup and the "40 clove" chicken that was more like a Costco rotisserie placed atop Campbell's garlic mushroom soup with a few roasted garlic cloves on top for the look.”
