Swordfish Grill and Tiki Bar is a Seafood restaurant in the Cortez Village neighborhood of Cortez.
“WOW WOW WOW!!! This might be the best seafood I've ever had in my LIFE. It was incredibly fresh and each type of seafood on the sampler was cooked to perfection. They also brought me aioli and tartar sauce, both of which complimented my French fries beautifully. Veggies were cooked crisp-tender. The kitchen really knows what they're doing! I came on a Monday for lunch and got seated right away by the water. The breeze and the view were lovely, exactly what I was looking for today. Tons of jumping fish, soaring pelicans, egrets, and other local birds that do NOT bother diners. If I were a local, I would be a regular here!”
“We randomly stumbled upon this amazing waterfront seafood spot and it ended up being one of the best experiences! 🌊✨ The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor — every dish tasted like it came straight from the ocean. The atmosphere was just perfect, sitting by the water with such a beautiful view made everything even better. What really made the night special was the live music — great vibes, not too loud, just the perfect touch to enjoy dinner and relax. The whole place had such a fun, laid-back energy. Definitely one of those hidden gems you’re so glad you found by accident. Can’t wait to go back! 🦞🎶 🐬”
“We stopped by for lunch and were glad we did. We arrived at noon and there was no wait time. Be advised they DO take reservations and it's a good idea to grab one far in advance because they are very popular. This place is much nicer and has a better menu than the Cortez Kitchen, it's sister restaurant next door. I had the Oysters Rockefeller ($17) and a Greek salad ($16). We also had their Shrimp & Lobster Flatbread ($22). The food was excellent, prices were comparable to similar restaurants in the area, the service from Jan B was courteous and efficient and the portions were more than adequate. They have a large bar area and seating indoors or on their outside deck which is right on the water. Parking is free in the adjacent lot. Recommended.”
“Swordfish Grill was fantastic! I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and they were excellent. Shrimp Sautéed with bacon in a rich cream sauce, cheese grits and chopped tomatoes and scallions. I added a side of their Pineapple Coleslaw and it was a very good representation! The Mrs ordered the Chicken and Caramelized Onion Flatbread which was diced chicken, caramelized onions, gouda and mozzarella cheese topped with balsamic drizzle...delicious as well!! Our associate Joe ordered up the Stone Crab special and by all indications it was a fantastic meal as well. Haley took excellent care of us in this excellent old- school Florida FishHouse located right by the water.”
“We were told by the hostess that it would be an hour and a half wait to sit inside or outside. We took a tall top in the bar at which point my wife walked through the dinning area and saw several open tables inside and outside so we assumed the wait was a staffing issue. Way over priced for the amount of food you receive. Absolutely a joke! My wife's chicken was probably the best value but it was only two strips. Granddaughter had the Firecracker shrimp tacos and it only comes with two for $19! Server asked her what side she wanted and then charged us and additional $1.99 for the side. I had the "famous" shrimp grits. I'll say they were good but I've honestly had much better and for $26 I think I'd get more. Maybe a cup of grits and only five med sized shrimp. Very disappointed. $96 bucks, two beers and waters to drink.”
