“Jake was awesome!! Super kind and fun, couldn’t have had a better time if we tried!! Our server was fantastic and she so accommodating as well, 10/10 drinks”
“Bar Bowie is such a cozy little hideaway — stylish without trying too hard. The drinks are great, the vibe is effortlessly cool, and it’s the perfect spot for a date or a casual catch-up with friends.”
“Discovered a true hidden gem where the entrance belies the beautiful mid-century interior, complete with lit tables and mirrored ceilings. They have cozy booth seating. 10 or so tables inside. Overall Bowie did a great job creating an intimate vibe. Staff were outstanding, adding a personal charm to the top-notch service. The menu offers unique snacks perfect for sharing, complemented by an impressive cocktail selection. A highlight was the bespoke off-menu drink, a testament to their creativity. A must-visit for a memorable evening with great vibes and exceptional service.”
“Was really excited to try Bowie but honestly the vibe just wasn’t it. From the moment we sat down it felt off. The bartender showed zero interest in actually giving service or creating any kind of atmosphere that would make you want to stay. No engagement no warmth and definitely no effort to make the experience enjoyable. A bar’s vibe comes from the people running it and unfortunately that was where this place fell flat. Drinks alone can’t carry the experience when the energy behind the bar feels uninterested and unwelcoming. It ended up feeling more like a place you pass through rather than somewhere you’d want to linger. Disappointing overall especially considering how much I was looking forward to checking it out. There's better bars around this place is a skip for me”
“they were only taking reservations, I get it small space, but I was waiting for my friend who had a reservation, I had been walking for awhile and I was freezing, they had a heat lamp and I was standing close to it, just to warm up. The bouncer told me I couldn’t stand there, so I moved, Then my friend with the reservation came, he said I couldn’t come in based on how I was acting, ordered my uber and then I got very cold and asked if I could just get a bit of warmth as I was shivering he said “it’s cold, dress right”, I said to him, pls just be a human and that I didn’t dress right but I’m very cold and he told me that I’m drunk and to go home, as if that wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be Honestly vibes in this place are high but the bouncer treated me like I was un deserving of human dignity and sub human, which hasn’t happened to me any where in Toronto. It felt very un Canadian and I think they should re evaluate.”
