Campechano - Adelaide Street W is a Mexican restaurant in the Ontario neighborhood of Toronto.
“I had the Pastor, Carne con Queso, Campechano and Barbacoa tacos, and all four were excellent. Each one had great flavor and felt carefully made. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice, and all the staff seemed genuinely passionate and welcoming. The wine and beer were both great as well. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. I would definitely like to come back next time. Also, Jen was very friendly and gave excellent menu recommendations, which made the experience even better.”
“Hands down the best tacos in the city! I’ve been here a few times now, and every visit has been consistently outstanding—both the food and the service are top-notch! Some of my personal favourites are the pescado taco, pork pastor taco, quesadilla, paloma, and white sangria. The portions are generous, the flavours are spot-on, and everything tastes incredibly fresh and well-balanced! The drinks are just as impressive and you can definitely tell they don’t skimp on the alcohol! Overall, an easy 11/10 🌟The service is always amazing, but the food is what truly keeps me coming back!!”
“Was nice to sit at their outdoor patio on a sunny day. It’s kinda tucked away from the crowds along King St. Their tacos are decent, but honestly was expecting two for the price they were showing on the menu and the portion size. Or at least maybe a bit more price-wise but having two instead of one. It was okay, but I can’t say that it stood out for me.”
“This is a mediocre taco place and I'm surprised this is on the Michelin bib gourmand list which apparently lists great food which provides a great bang for the buck. Each taco is at least $10. That's not affordable or bang for the buck. This is a bougie white people drinking place which also serves tacos. Don't get me wrong, the tacos are ok, pretty good even but not great. They are large sized for tacos and largely bland, probably for the generic king west happy hour crowd. For 5 items at a "taco" place, 80 bucks is a huge ripoff. It's mediocre.”
“I was thrilled to try this Mexican taco joint because it was featured in the Michelin Guide. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, the tacos were just okay. There are so many better taco places in Toronto. We tried the daily special, the tinga taco, carnitas, and campechano. The only one that was above average was the carnita tacos. The Michelada was decent. Overall, for the price, location, and flavor, it was a nice experience, but I don’t think I’ll be returning soon.”
