Manita Rosedale is an European restaurant in the Rosedale/Summerhill neighborhood of Toronto.
“A great addition to the neighbourhood and a fantastic spot for brunch. We enjoyed the cozy, and the great atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of options for different tastes :)”
“We had lovely time on a Saturday afternoon with great weather in the patio. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and willing to explain, and recommend. Food was very good and so were the drinks”
“If you’re looking for a restaurant that feels like a well-kept secret, Manita in Rosedale delivers exactly that. We visited on a weekday with a reservation and were welcomed into a cozy, intimate space upstairs, small in size, but thoughtfully designed for comfort and conversation. Upstairs is definitely better for groups who want a more quiet relaxed vibe, while the lower level is a bit busier and offers more people watching. It strikes that rare balance between relaxed and refined, where nothing feels rushed. We started simply with fresh-squeezed orange juice, which set the tone, bright, fresh, and unexpectedly memorable. From there, we each ordered something different, and not a single dish missed. The avocado toast was beautifully balanced, the chicken brochettes were tender, generous three skewers, tzatziki was thick and overall the dish was full of flavor, lastly the fries deserve special mention: perfectly crisp, properly salted, and impossible to stop eating. Dessert was a highlight. The Basque cheesecake was rich, creamy, and generously sized, easily enough for three to share. In hindsight, a quick heads-up from the staff on portion size would have nudged us to explore more of the dessert menu alongside it. That said, paired with a sticky toffee pudding, it made for a very satisfying finish. Overall, Manita is the kind of place you recommend without hesitation and return to without question.”
“A BIG thank you to Manita Rosedale for honouring our reservation (we made a mistake and went to the Rosedale location instead of Ossington). Forgot to get the name of the gentleman who took care of our mix up. A big thank you to Christian for taking care of us for the early evening dinner. The food - absolutely delicious! The drinks - tasty! Fries, Roasted Mushroom and Shrimp a la Plancha to start. Chicken Brochettes, Rainbow Trout and Mediterranean Plate as the mains. Chenin Blanc, Paper Airplane and Old Fashioned were the drinks. Highly recommend and will come back & also visit the Ossington location!”
“The staff here are so kind and helpful, lovely vibe. Food is fantastic, had a great croque madame that came with a refreshing salad, orange juice was very fresh. But I will say the noise level when we came during brunch hours was almost unbearable, it was so loud. To the point that I could barely hear my friends just on the other side of our small table and I was actually concerned for the health and safety of the staff being expected to work all the hours of that shift without proper ear protection. I would strongly suggest investigating how soundscaping could help reduce noise levels, ie adding soft wall coverings to muffle echoes, etc. Otherwise a very charming brunch restaurant!”
