“Agora Tysons was a fantastic experience and exactly the kind of restaurant we were hoping to find while visiting the DC area. The atmosphere was inviting, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without feeling over the top or pretentious. I especially loved the colorful stained-glass style chandeliers and warm ambiance. It felt upscale enough for a nice night out while still being relaxed and welcoming. The sampler of spreads with fresh bread was an excellent choice and one of the highlights of the meal. I was pleasantly surprised that I genuinely enjoyed every spread, even flavors I normally would not order, like the fish roe and roasted eggplant. The red pepper & feta spread and the yogurt-based spread were my personal favorites. We also ordered the beet root salad, yogurt-marinated chicken thighs, and steak kebabs, and every dish was flavorful, fresh, and well balanced. The meats were cooked beautifully and the overall meal felt both satisfying and unique. Highly recommend if you are looking for a memorable meal in the Tysons/DC area with great food, warm atmosphere, and something different from the typical chain restaurant experience.”
“I had a great experience at Agora Tysons. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Even on a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy, which really shows how popular and well-loved it is. I had one of the best kebabs I’ve ever tasted here, and the bread was simply amazing. The only downside was that it can get a bit noisy inside, but overall, it was a wonderful dining experience that I would definitely recommend.”
“Updated review: This is still an amazing establishment with great food, incredible staff (My waiter was Dave again!), and just overall ambiance. I will say i didn’t score the booth (sad) but the reason i had to update was because they changed their Anadolu Mantif *This WAS the BEST item and they changed it ☹️ I was so shocked at the change in taste and texture i had to ask our waiter if it was the same??? I did try new dishes and the cauliflower was grilled and delicious, as well as the Kibbeh with the pine nuts? Wow. Very juicy and well seasoned. The other meat dish was wonderful as well. Unfortunately the Anadolu really was the star of the show last time and i was looking forward to having it again. One word: SPECTACULAR. This was my first time at Agora - my friends who i came with had come for happy hour a few months ago and raved about this place; from the staff to the food they gave high praises and having come tonight i too can attest to how great this experience was. We started off with drinks & our server who went by Dave was so kind and so attentive and quick. The restaurant is so cute (hopefully next time i snag a spot at one of the nests) the decor is beautiful and the space flows well. The food? No frills, straight to the point: TAPAS style. Everything was seasoned well, the spices really shined through and the meat was succulent and juicy. I would recommend all of the dishes i got ESPECIALLY the Anadolu Mantif, the Kofte, and the sampler - minus the prawns and the branzino (these dishes were good BUT i just couldn't get over how big the prawns were and i typically don't like soggy skin on fish) if someone ordered them for the table again i wouldn't be opposed but i wouldn't go out of my way to order them. I cannot wait until my next visit.”
“They got slightly better in food quality but the service is still not good. 1. Reservation: absolutely necessary, you can't go in on any day. They are always packed. which is a surprise for me. 2. Food: 4 stars I ate here countless times and it used to be great and became very bad and now it is reviving a bit again. - sis kebab was great! Small portion but great. - chicken was just chicken, make it at home. don't buy such stuff eating out, it was a mistake to order this - dessert was amazing! 3. Drinks: mixed drinks are still not great. Choose wine or prepackaged items here 4. Service: not accommodating and it was so awkward. I could tell he hated serving us. We were still gracious and gave him 20% tip, but he deserved none! If you are in the area anyway, Chima, Fogo, Eddie's and many other better options exist.”
“I was honestly very disappointed with this restaurant. The food was not tasty, and the portions were unbelievably small—more like tasting samples than actual meals. I'm used to American restaurants serving generous portions that are satisfying, but this place was the complete opposite. We left feeling disappointed and still hungry. Considering the price, the value for money was very poor. I definitely won't be coming back, and I would not recommend it based on my experience.”
