“Who knew The Local had live music!! Stopped in on a Wednesday evening and they had a fantastic musician/singer. From old favorites to originals, really awesome. Stayed much longer than expected. Thank you to the manager Lauren for bringing some live music to Wayland!!”

“The Local in Wayland has become one of our go‑to spots in MetroWest. The food is consistently solid, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, and the service is always on point. Lauren, one of the managers, does an exceptional job making my wife and I feel welcome each visit. We go more often than we care to admit, but it’s because they get it right every time. We are fortunate to have several good restaurants in our town, and we put The Local toward the top of the list.”

“Always love the local, but today’s experience was top tier! My mom and I stopped in for lunch after the event across the street at Russell’s, and our server Patrick was amazing! Refills on time, split the meal me and my mom were sharing without having to ask, and paid extra attention to my allergies for my meal. Amazing service and would go back and ask for his section again! He also recommended the skillet cookie dessert, and he was right it was delicious!”

“Update: Came back again and the food has improved. Definitely recommend the honey chicken wrap and chicken tenders. They were really well made and seasoned. The kids portion was large enough for an adult. The five hour short rib and beet salad were great. The margherita pizza was disappointing: it was basically a cheese flatbread pizza with some herbs. Service was fast and friendly.”

“It was friday evening and the reseraunt was packed. The green bean were fresh, crispy and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the short ribs and was given pot roast. Another on our party ordered French dip and was given the same pot roast served on a roll. I've read other reviews here raving about the short ribs. Maybe out of beef that night?”
