“Had a delightful free tasting here as a member of Coopershawk. Beautiful Vinyard and outdoor tasting area. Laura was our tasting expert. She was delightful and knowledgeable. Bought some chocolates for pairing and a candle poured in a recycled wine bottle. The Pino and Cabernet were pretty good and I don't normally like dry wines. Great experience.”

“Good service, good wine but overpriced”

“Had a rather unpleasant time here this weekend. Was pretty rough experience from the get go. We had high hopes for this place as we really have had nothing but good experiences in their sister location - Buena Vista in Sonoma. We arrived for a reserved wine tasting to find very limited parking as they had an event going on. For some reason, they shut down their main tasting room and were redirecting people to their cottage in the back. Would have been nice to have some signage directing us to the new place to save us wandering all over. They had a loud band playing so we requested to be far from that and they took us out back. Maybe I’m a stick in the mud but a loud band is antithetical to a wine tasting to me. Comparing this rear area to their primary tasting area, one wonders why they don’t make this the primary tasting location. It was almost as lovely as La Crema’s rear patio. So we were pleased with the relocation. They did get us the pre-tasting pour as we arrived but once seated they disappeared for over 30 minutes. They never told our server he was assigned to the table apparently. We had another tasting scheduled and I couldn’t find anyone as I walked through the entire event until I found the manager in the front area. I let him know we wanted to cancel the tasting as it is hard to imagine we’d be able to really enjoy it with less than an hour left now to get to our next tasting. As I got back to my wife she had our server Rick at the table. She pushed for staying and I reluctantly agreed to stay and immediately regretted it. Took another 10 minutes to get our flight going which meant we needed to try the four wines in just over 40 minutes. Awesome. During this reset the manager was quite nice and apologized and then did something I thought was strange. He asked me what they could do to make it up to us for all of the inconvenience. I told him I had no idea what could. As the guest, I don’t want to be suggesting the solution. I have no idea what is a reasonable suggestion. We had reserved one of their premium tastings and this was hardly a premium experience. I implied it should be for him to figure this out and he wandered off. He never suggested anything and I would have expected he’d do something like knock one of the tasting fees off or convert them in price to the standard tasting. Or some future credit. Something. When the bill came it was full freight which was a little surprising considering we had to pound out a tasting so quickly. It should be noted, Rick was great. He hustled to make it better, was very knowledgeable and a real joy. I put this mess on the GM. No vision here on how to make a good experience or how to respond to a problem. Very disappointing, we were definitely interested in their membership as their offering looks interesting but we’re not coming back for a long time and as a local, I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing visitors here. Too many other places that are more well run than this place. Also, if you’re going to have events that should be noted on stock and if you are going to have distinctly different tasting locations you should have that noted as well. I’d be pretty pissed if I thought I was buying a particular experience and showed up to something totally different.”

“Not family friendly at all! Staff was rude, “this property is officially closed now (the other staff told us to take our time), get out asap and it’s not a play area for kids. My kids were calm, supervised, and not doing anything disruptive. There were also no signs indicating children were not allowed in that area. There was simply no reason to speak to families so harshly. The experience left my kids sad and upset and completely changed the tone of our visit. If your winery does not actually welcome families with children, it should not market itself as family friendly.”
