“Detroit would be proud of this establishment, definitely did Detroit style pizza justice. Light and airy with the Detroit pizza crust crunch. I also got the Thai chili cauliflower wings. Honest review it was more like sweet Thai, didn’t really taste any chili. Phenomenal Detroit style pizza!!”
“I first discoverd Down North Pizza during Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary, and have been hooked ever since! The pizza is tasty with every bite, with perfectly crispy ends and great flavor! Rock the Mic is my favorite and has beef pepperoni!!! Not many pizza establishments offer beef pepperoni. The pizza may appear small at first glance, but it's definitely enough for two people and worth every penny. The cook was very friendly.”
“Saw this pizza spot on YouTube and had to try it! Pizza was great! We got the “Break You Off” pizza. It was loaded with lamb and baked goods perfection. The crust was nice and crunchy, the pizza was nice and chewy. Not too chewy…I had the perfect bite. The wings were solid too. Will definitely return when I am in the area.”
“I stopped in for the Roc The Mic pizza and really enjoyed it. The cook, an older gentleman, was very nice and was the one that gave me the recommendation. The sweet sauce was fire, and those crispy edges were exactly what I look for in a good pie. The crust and bottom were buttery, cheesy, and had a great bite without ever feeling dry. At $25, it’s definitely on the higher end for a smaller personal pizza, but I’d spend it again without hesitation because of how good it was. The beef pepperoni was a solid touch, though I think a little hot honey or more spice would’ve taken it to the next level for me. Overall, a solid spot around the way . I’ll be back.”
“Uptown vibes vegan pizza was good, The crust was square deep dish chicago style, very good sauce. tons of cheese didn’t really taste the kale nevertheless, spot on! little on the expensive side. Thai cauliflower wings , perfectly done, tender on the inside crispy tempura batter on the outside very good sauce Spicy crab fries need work no crab flavor, kale was there but lacking flavor, plenty of cheese on fries, cheese was cold and the fries were little bit dry and cold. The Fries are overpriced, thicker cut fries would be better. The blueberry lemonade and a cucumber, mint lemonade a perfect combo with the pizza This is a very nice place for takeout. The decor is right on with the whole mission. I read a chapter of the book while I was there Muhammad is inspiring. I think it’s admirable the way they give back to the community. Hope that they will get some sit down seating in the future currently it has barstool and counter seating, would love to see some outdoor seating. Overall a nice experience, reason for four star atmosphere was a little bit loud hard to talk to my friend. And as far as the food goes a little bit pricey overall, that’s just a personal opinion if it works for them that’s all that matters definitely will be back.”
