“Felipe's Bar & Grill has become our favorite restaurant in Odessa. Their chimichuri flavored wings are absolutely second to none, and I mean none. We were told when asked that they smoke the wings for at least 6 hours before finishing the rest of the cooking process. Their birria tacos are also spectacular, the sauce included is just 👌 wow. Let's talk about service now, folks working there are genuinely kind individuals with real personalities. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of our visits there and we will continue coming back for many more of our weekly dates.”
“Guys, this is a top notch establishment. Not just for Midland/Odessa, this restaurant and its staff are my top five picks in the United States period. The food, outstanding. The Chilean sea bass, Filet and wedge, rigatoni, lo vodka, chimichurri wings, and literally everything else on the entire menu, 10 out of 10. The service… Absolutely impeccable. I’m talking the whole package here. Christian, the manager truly cares about this business from the bottom of his heart and it shows. Hunter was our server and truly is a master in his craft. He went above and beyond and it facilitated an amazing dining experience. Chris, the brewer, makes the best beer I’ve ever had! Over all, if you’re in the area or live in west Texas, this is a great place for lunch, dinner, work events or date night. Also, don’t forget to get the app for to redeem points! P.S. There is only one photo because we devoured our food before I could remember to take photos.”
“Chill spot to grab a Far Out beer with a glorious bar top. Glad this jaunt offers beer in true pints glasses, as the good Lord intended. Hate seeing 40oz goblets and 64oz mugs. Food is fantastic. Their marinated ribeye is a treat. It’s packed with flavor. Zydeco salmon plate(Chef’s kiss🤌) will be cleaned before it gets bussed, the ensemble works well together. Corndog is delicious, but avoid enjoying it amongst oilfield customers.😂 Amigos, I have been to Felipe’s for multiple visits. I missed a few plates to discuss. I shall return again.”
“The building and decor is super trendy. The bar seating is a large. The restaurant is large, spacious— not on top of each other as some restaurants. All staff was welcoming and super friendly. Our server Jasmine was sweet as pie! Unfortunately, due to work we were unable to try the adult drink menu 🍷 🍹— seemed like many tasty options, though! Maybe we came in an off day… but our food had zero flavor. The brisket queso should be renamed queso topped with brisket, also, it is lacking flavor. I asked for fresh jalapeños to add some something. The texture was great, just needed seasoning. Entrees ordered were wagyu barbacoa tacos with a side of mac n cheese and the zydeco salmon served with brocolini and dirty rice. Mac n cheese was much like the queso, I think it’s the same cheese sauce— needed flavor, topped with red bell pepper which was different, added a crunch to the bite. The tacos were decent, served with cilantro and pickled onion. The zydeco salmon left much to be desired, and maybe because I was super excited to try this dish. It has a creamy sauces which was tasty, but the salmon itself was very fishy. I believe it was chinook salmon since the meat was of an all white texture. The 2 jumbo shrimped it was topped with was fine, dirty rice was 🥴, and the broccolini needed salt and pepper, and dirty rice— well, this is west Texas not Louisiana. We were hoping for a great experience all around, as it was our wedding anniversary, but the food really didn’t do it for us. We spent about $75, excluding tip. I read the reviews and had high hopes. Hopefully, this helps someone!”
“This one was a bit hard to rate. We really wanted it to be something special. I would say the food is good but just not what I expected compared to all the sister restaurants. Im thinking this plays mostly part because it is a brewery and we are not drinkers. If you are gonna come drink and casually enjoy a meal…sure. Atmosphere and Service was amazing though! The kitchen staff was entertaining.”
