“Giorg delivered one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had in Thunder Bay. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail matters here. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegant and welcoming, creating the kind of setting where you can slow down, enjoy great conversation, and appreciate exceptional food. Every dish that arrived at the table was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, and execution from the kitchen were evident throughout the entire meal. From the appetizers to dessert, each course felt intentional and memorable. A special thank you to Trevor for providing outstanding service. He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in ensuring the experience was exceptional without ever being intrusive. Great service has a way of elevating a meal, and Trevor did exactly that. I would also like to recognize Marie, whose warmth and hospitality helped make the evening feel truly special. It is easy to see why Giorg has developed such a strong reputation. The culture of hospitality shines through in every interaction. Restaurants often excel at food or service. Giorg excels at both. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines refined cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer, Giorg is a place well worth visiting. I will absolutely be returning and look forward to introducing friends, family, and colleagues to this outstanding local gem.”

“My fiance and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Giorg, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. All of the crew was unreal, from the hostess, to the manager, Marie, and the folks in the kitchen! Our server was Trevor, he is exceptional - attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He went above and beyond to ensure our evening was special, which he always does (we have had Trevor as our server at another local gem of a restaurant, Bight, multiple times) The food!! Every single dish we ordered was nothing short of amazing! The flavors were rich and authentic, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. I'm not often blown away by a dining experience, but Giorg truly exceeded our expectations in every way. A new favourite of ours. Thanks Giorg, for a wonderful Valentines Day dinner ♥️”

“Okay don't get me wrong the food is amazing and the best quality! But the second experience that I had here definitely didn't come close to the first time Staff were dropping forks on the ground, got elbow in the face and which whatever fine accidents happen....but the fact they added a tip to our bill without asking was kind of a slap in the face ( or an elbow which I got) I definitely do not think the server should have got a $50 tip on a $200 bill which the sloppy service... I don't think I would go back to this restaurant with the fact that we are forced to pay a tip when service was not great.. which makes me sad because the food it amazing. I can't justify paying for crappy service. I definitely would not recommend.”

“Went here with a friend, we had the filet, fettuccine, and to start the carpaccio. To begin with, they did not have sparkling rosé or rosé by the glass. I then asked for a white Rioja onto which they did not have. The bartender came back and informed me that they had asked ChatGPT what the closest wine to a white Rioja was and she came back with a Chardonnay. Also we live in an era where we are asking ChatGPT how to do our jobs? I digress. We then requested the carpaccio for an appetizer and more time to decide with the menus. The server informed us that we would not be able to do that as the ‘chef’ prefers everything be submitted at once so they can course it out properly. The food was sufficient, especially the carpaccio. It was incredible, however the lack of service and indignation from the server was much to be desired and to call that experience fine dining, albeit casual(as stated on their website), is a gross overstatement. It is unfortunate because my previous experiences here have been fantastic. I don’t suspect I will be returning.”
