A nice Italian restaurant.
“We had a delicious meal here while in Chicago for work. The service is super attentive and the room is stunning. Really gives you old school American Italian vibes, a place your nonno would love! We started with the Caesar salad, polenta, and meatballs and they were all bangers. Pastas were all tasty as well, vodka rigatoni was a hit. Finally we had the veal parm and it was great, perfectly cooked with a good balance of cheese and sauce. We will definitely be back!”
“We had an amazing dinner at Ciccio Mio during our trip to Chicago. It’s in the Michelin guide, and it definitely lived up to it. We ordered the carbonara, the amatriciana, the mushroom carbonara, and some bread — everything was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. We were seated at the front bar, and it was still a great experience. Our waitress, Christina, was wonderful — very friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. We wanted to try dessert but we were so full… so that will be for next time. We’d definitely come back!”
“This restaurant may be my new Italian favorite! Every dish we tried did not disappoint and it was absolutely delicious. I recommend coming with a small group only so you can order more items and share food. We had a vegetarian and a dairy free friend in our group - and they left very happy! The atmosphere was cozy and the service staff was super friendly. We were also celebrating a birthday and they took care of our birthday girl! Cannot wait to go back, 5 stars all around!”
“I can’t say enough good things about this place! The highlight of my meal was the ricotta gnocchi — hands down the best I’ve ever had. They were light, pillowy, and practically melted in my mouth with every bite. You could really taste the freshness and quality in every piece, and the sauce complemented them perfectly without being too heavy. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was just as wonderful as the food. If you’re looking for authentic Italian with a touch of elegance, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I’ll be coming back just for those gnocchi!”
“Ciccio Mio, the sister restaurant of Bavette’s, did not disappoint. You enter into a dark moody interior full of friendly staff and lacey 1920s lamps and decor. The food was very good - the anchovy paste that came with the steak tartare elevated the taste, and was a pleasant combination. All the pastas were handmade and I loved the tagliatelle carbonara - the fresh pasta was just the right texture and thickness and the sauce was delicious - wish it had more gorgonzola though The scampi was perfectly cooked and tender, definitely a recommendation.”
