“I can’t say enough good things about Il Milanese! The food is so full of flavor and authentic. Carlo and his team always make me feel welcome, not to mention Rudy who makes the best cocktails! I can’t wait to come back!”
“I haven’t had a dining experience this wonderful in a very long time. The service was impeccable. The food was fantastic. The wine and cocktails were unparalleled. This is one of those instances where you can go big or go small. Do you want to have just a light meal? That’s easy. Stuffed zucchini blossoms and a plate of pasta. A glass of wine and you’re out the door for $50. On the other hand, you can go for the gold and walk away completely sated. Either way, you’ll love this delightful spot.”
“Went during restaurant week. While most of the items were specific to the RW menu, the overall quality, flavors and culinary focus still shined. Phenomenal focaccia. Cannot recommend that enough. Gnocchi with black truffles was rich and decadent. Ended with delicious traditional torta di ricotta. Highly recommend. Check out this neighborhood gem!”
“Pretty good. We had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time for a table to open up but they gave us free bubbly which was nice. We ordered everything at once and they timed it out well. Not pictured is an arugula salad and fried zucchini flowers, both of which were tasty. The tortelloni had pumpkin and a brown butter sauce and the steak was delicious - great crust, good flavor, solidly medium rare.”
“We went for restaurant week after wandering by over the years and wanting to try this spot. We got the lentil soup, focaccia, gnocchi, & my partner got the lamb pasta dish. It was all really tasty and also very rich. We both took leftovers for the next day, as it was so flavorful. We will definitely be back. Service was attentive. The tables were squished quite close, but that gave it some charm. & felt like we were tucked away somewhere in northern Italy.”
