Ciccio, is a neighborhood Italian Alimentari (Food) & Bar, featuring the specialties of Florentine cuisine through its quality prepared ingredients. At Ciccio, moderately priced dishes exemplify the Tuscan idea that hunger is the best cook where a “full stomach comforts the soul.” In Florence, small restaurants serve the neighborhood and its residents where Alimentaris and Tattorias are places for family and friends. Like in Italy, expect to find a little hidden gem, simple and rich. Instrumental behind the idea, is Giacomo Romano. He brings his Florentine background to New York to successfully balance a restaurant that will be a your neighborhood must.
“As a tipical Italian arrived late to my dinner. (10.06 pm). Staff was super kindly( hard to find at 10.06pm) and, the ambient made me feel like i was in one of those “trattoria” from back home, Italy of course. The tagliatelle alla carbonara, what a choice.. probably one of the best in the city. And i really loved getting my glass of wine before the tap water.. i place to come!”
“Walking past, I spotted the happy hour sign. Thursday from 4-6pm, the setting was low light, quiet and intimate with cosy seating. The Italian waiters were super energetic yet perfectly balanced, leaving us alone when we needed it. We started with a wine and spritz. The spritz was perfect, coming from an ex-bartender. Then we ordered the meatballs. Get the meatballs! They’re flavourful, not too tomatoey and incredibly juicy, meaty and cheesy. You need to try them. I’m not sure why this place hasn’t received more reviews or become a hotspot yet. It’s definitely my new local spot.”
“By far, the best Italian place in the city. The pastas are insane!!!! especially the vegetarian lasagna and the Cacio e Pepe with black truffle. The fish with the potato gratin on top of it is also phenomenal. You can’t go wrong with the gnudi as well.”
“Love the easy going atmosphere, and the Focus is on the food. The food was great and I can't even remember having GF Pasta that tasted so good. I will definitely be back.”
“Excellent restaurant!!! Great staff, great drinks, amazing food. The outdoor seating is really nice you'd never know your on 6th ave. We started with the ceaser salad, apps we had tuna and meatballs. Dinner my wife had ravioli with pear and I had gnocchi with clams and pesto both were phenomenal. We ended it by sharing an affigato and tiramasu, what a great way to spend our anniversary, we will definitely be back!”
