“Been going to Gumba for over 5 years. Always a great time, the dishes are divine and never disappoint. The service and people involved it the restaurant are top notch. Came in for a chicken sandwich pop up and was blown away.”
“So much flavor!! My mouth waters just thinking about the place. I highly suggest the beet salad. The veggie lasagna, and the charred calamari , I ate slow bc I have texture issues. However the flavor was just so robust, it just pops in your mouth. Like mix the garbanzo beans with the greens and calamari with the sauce. Together they make your taste buds on fire. Let’s not forget the delicious & flavorful beef pappardelle. I crave this everyday!!”
“Gumba may be my favorite restaurant in Portland, with the beautiful decor, easy service and most importantly, beautiful and delicious food - Gumba is a one of a kind in Portland. I have been wanting to go here for ages but never got around to it. I had high expectations with the the great reviews Gumba has received and even with perception going in, I was BLOWN AWAY by the food. I'm not kidding when I say the flavors, presentation and preparation of these dishes rivals the high dining restaurants of our city. Our dishes had me experiencing flavors I haven't had before, and for that alone it was awesome. Gumba is on par with my favorite restaurant in Portland, Kann, when it comes to all of these factors. I'm absolutely blown away and impressed! The chicken parm was so unique with the corn flavored puree and the seafood spaghetti tasted unlike any other I've had. To top everything off, our cocktail and wine were perfect, and our desserts left us happy and satisfied. Gumba truly is worth the rep that it gets. The decor, the food, the drinks, are all stellar. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I cannot wait to come here again. I HIGHLY recommend Gumba, beautiful and delicious food awaits you!”
“Adorable spot with pasta that is way too good. Their fry bread is to die for. I’m unfortunately lactose intolerant so I don’t get to experience Italian food often, much to the sadness of my husband. We found out this place has a secret vegan menu you can ask for and so now this is our go to place for Italian food because there are actual options for me! And what they have is delicious, honestly the best pasta I have had. My husband loves the normal dairy present options as well. We haven’t had a bad meal here. Their happy hour is great and when we usually go to save money, but they are worth the cost whenever. Aesthetics of the restaurant are top notch, and service is great as well. I thought I was celiac for a bit and was so scared and sad at the thought of not being able to come back here but luckily my GI doctor ruled that out lol so I get my gluten fix here.”
