As one of California’s few oceanside tasting destinations, it invites guests to slow down and linger—enjoying exceptional wines, thoughtfully curated lunch offerings, and relaxed moments indoors or at outdoor tables overlooking the Pacific. The winery produces premium wines from its estate vineyard in Paso Robles. Located in the eastern Paso Robles meso-climate, Saunders Vineyard provides ideal conditions for growing Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, and Tempranillo. Guided by winemaker Soren Christensen, these wines are crafted with a focus on quality, sustainability, and expressing the character of the land.
“This was absolutely an amazing experience. The views of the ocean and pier while you sit and enjoy great food and wine are spectacular. The food itself was good too. I had the pulled pork and it blended spectacular with the wine i chose. Also can't go wrong with the wines. They are quite delicious and pair great with the food choices they offer.”
“Great place to relax after you visited the Hearst ranch/castle. You can sipping some very nice wine by the beach and appreciating the craftsmanship of the winery. Our host Jacob was very nice and knowledgeable about all the wine they have and truly makes our afternoon with them are joyful one. If you have any special events that you want to plan, this will be a great place to host it.”

“Fantastic tasting room just north of Cambria. The wines we tasted were all delicious, I especially enjoyed the library wine of the week the 2017 Malbec. It's a rare wine where all of the wines you sample turn out to be great. The staff are incredibly friendly and responsive. Prices are about what you would expect for a good winery. When the kitchen is open they serve a selection of dining options including a cheeseburger, bacon wrapped shrimp, and of course the charcuterie board. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, the serving sizes were generous, enough to split depending on how hungry you are. The views of the ocean on the tasting patio are excellent. I highly recommend getting a reservation in advance as the tasting room inside and outside can be full during popular hours or good weather. If you are looking for a great place to drink wine this is a good location to try.”
“Perfect place to end your visit to the Castle. The views from the patio can not be beat. The space between seating areas is perfect. No one is sitting on top of you and your party which made the experience enjoyable. Timing of pours was just right. Nothing about the experience felt rushed. On the weekends they do offer food options. I was a solo taster who walked in and was accomodated. As luck would have it, I was seated at a table right at the edge of the beach. While I waited for my seat O was served a glass of wine to enjoy. The inside seating is comfy and offers some great views as well.”
