OPEN JULY 4TH FROM 12-4 PM As a new season begins in the South Willamette Valley, we’re honored to share an exciting announcement that brings our story full circle. After more than 30 years of guiding Silvan Ridge, the Chambers-Stiltner family has chosen to entrust the future of this land to its founding family. In a reunion that feels both destined and deeply personal, the winery is returning home to the Hinmans. For those unfamiliar with the history of our estate, Doyle Hinman planted the very first grapes here in 1972. Returning to the Hinman Vineyards name allows us to honor our roots while maintaining profound respect for the Silvan Ridge chapter and the Chambers legacy. As our story continues to unfold, this reunion brings the best of both worlds. As lifelong partners in this journey, Doyle and his wife Sue Ann, as well as their daughter Chelsea Hinman Miller, now lead the estate as co-owners. Together, they’re honored to pair the warmth you love with their own distinct labels, sharing a singular family collection that now includes the premium, craft-driven Tior Wines. As we return to our original name, you can expect the same sense of place that has defined this estate for decades. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or are just joining our journey, your support makes this homecoming possible. We invite you to experience what’s next with us and look forward to raising a glass together soon. **UPDATED GROUP POLICY: All groups larger than 8 are required to have a reservation to visit. “Very tasty wine and nice atmosphere. We arrived late and did a quick tasting but didn't try the food offerings. It will be a nice place to go back to when we have more time.”
“Nestled in the stunning Oregon countryside, Silvan Ridge Winery stands out as the oldest winery in the area, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The winery offers a picturesque escape with hillside views that are absolutely breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for wine tasting. During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling a flight of red wines. While I’m always partial to a good Malbec and Tempranillo, it was their special red blend, Elizabeth's Red, that really stole the show. Not to be overlooked, the Chardonnay was equally impressive. It stood out with its crisp and refreshing taste, beautifully balanced and a wonderful complement to the reds. Silvan Ridge Winery is a gem in the Oregon wine scene, combining spectacular views, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional wines. Whether you're a connoisseur or a casual wine lover, a visit here is highly recommended. The experience is as delightful as the wines themselves!”
“Great Harvest Host with beautiful, quiet and serene setting. Kathy is an amazing host..warm and friendly balances all the different functions of the tasting room. Great overnight site..very relaxing after the drive. Class A drivers...I will say the 18 mile drive in from N I 5 is thrilling...Our GPS took us up Territorial HWY...if doing it again.. I would go further North and come in Spencer Cr off 126...shorter drive on narrow 2 lane without logging trucks whizzing by. Loved the wines we tried! Brought "home" a bottle...and we are not really wine drinkers!”
“They have an amazing rosé. The little hills and views around it are fenomenal. Cute place to have a wine tasting, peaceful”
“I visited to pick up and sample the new release that I had purchased in advance. The tasting room was understandably very busy, and staff inquired if my guest and I had a reservation. Because we did not, we were unable to accommodate a seating arrangement. As a paid club member, I believe the membership experience should naturally include the ability to secure a seat to enjoy the releases we have committed to purchasing. While I completely understand that weekends are high-traffic, it would be a significant value-add if the vineyard could designate a specific area or hold a few tables exclusively for members dropping in for their allocations”
