“My husband and I!! Really enjoyed the food and service!! Read so many reviews about the price and quality in the food!! For me? The I work in this industry!! Atmosphere was good!! Music not to loud!! And ambient was good! Definitely recommend it!!! People mentioned over priced but you pay for the area and kind of restaurant!! For me was just right!! Excellent customer service!! From our waiter. Had dinner and dessert with coffee”
“We here for a business lunch on Tuesday after about 10 years. Sat in the newly renovated outside bar area. It was so nice. View of the ocean across PCH. Light an airy. Margaritas tasted good. Guac ($20) was also good. I had there asada salad which was done very nicely. My coworkers got the enchiladas mariscos and they both devoured it. Service is primo.”
“It's a beautiful restaurant in Newport Beach. Sitting at a window where you can get a view of the ocean is difficult. But if that's not a priority to you, you will be pleased. We were treated nicely. My only disappointment was it was my husband's birthday. I had asked the staff to bring him a full size dessert which I was going to pay for, and sing happy birthday to him. And they didn't. It was only the two of us, and I felt that was a let down. The waiter gave him A Lil bowl of ice cream and said happy birthday and walked away. My heart was crushed. I wanted it to be a big deal for him. But, for my husband's sake I didn't show my disappointment nor tell him about what I planned. I ordered a regular sz dessert for him to enjoy. Other than that, we had a good time. We spent $198.00 for 2 meals. The Lobster was very small for a premium price, just FYI.”
“Hi Everyone (who sees this review & Javier’s Management) : We visited this restaurant around Dec’2025 at Dinner to celebrate a birthday event. Overall, the experience was amazing and we enjoyed thoroughly. Ambiences were really nice and great exp. to be there. Food was fantastic! We ordered following items : (1) Guacamole (2) Quesadilla (3)Pollo Chipotle (4) Churros (5) Flan (6) 2 Drinks (Tamarindo Margarita) Overall food was very tasty but Guacamole and Quesadilla need a special call out — deserts were amazing too. Service, Food and Atmosphere everywhere I have rated 5. Special call out — When I booked I mentioned that birthday event and to arrange for a table from where sunset can be seen. They did that nicely and one of the best service. Best part — you can enjoy the ocean and sunset both from your dinning area; it’s so beautiful !! Pl see my photos for details. Overall, our experience was very nice! Will definitely visit again!”
“It had been along time since our last visit, also we wanted to see the restaurant after remodel. Here are my takeaways: 1. The place and view is spectacular, so beautiful, so vibrant, so electrified. 2. Jarvier's margaritas: 3/5 - good but not great or knocking my socks off because I didn't get flavor of fresh lime, not tangy and sweet balanced. No doubts that the liquors are high quality. The pineapple margarita was very good, with real fresh pineapple flavor. 3. Guacamole: 2.5/5 - average and bland. Need more lime juice and salt, also needs more flavors of sweet onion and cilantro. 4. Enchiladas, relleno, and taco : 3.5/5 - good but not great. The beef enchilada was pretty good, chile relleno was pretty good and flavorful. The red sauce was very good, not spicy nor bitter neither salty. The chicken taco was so average and the crispy taco was kinda stale. I asked for double black beans instead of beans and rice, the black beans were ok, not thick at all, not whole lot of flavors and taste. 5. Rice and bean: 3/5 - mixed bag. Rice was average and a bit salty, however the refried beans was delicious, so creamy, tasty, and flavorful. Also rice and or beans is extra for some dishes. This is tacky because they dont cost that much but for Nickle and Dime here and there is ridiculous. Cheap. 6. Birria: 4/5 - delicious but abit soupy, great flavors and taste, not salty nor spicy nor bitter of chillies. It would be better served with plain steamed rice vs tortillas... So, overalls were a mix bag of experience...if you want the ambiance then this is all about. If you want really authentic Mexican dishes and not concerned of breaking your bank then it is not in my opinion. The reason I gave 4 stars because for the sake of ambiance 🤪.”
