Kokomo Winery is perched on the East side of Dry Creek Valley amidst the 120 acres of prime benchland vineyards of Timber Crest Farms. Owner and Winemaker Erik Miller started the winery in 2004 naming it after his hometown of Kokomo, IN, and decided on a Coastal Cypress Tree as a logo to signify his move out west. Kokomo currently produces over a dozen different varietals and several single vineyard designates which are farmed by his partner in the winery, grower Randy Peters. Kokomo Winery focuses their terroir-driven wines on the three distinctive appellations of Sonoma County - Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys. This dynamic partnership of a grower and a winemaker ensures the winery’s ongoing commitment to quality and consistency for future vintages. Kokomo Winery has been making its mark in Sonoma County, unfailingly earning 90+ ratings, Best of Class, and Gold Medals across all of their varietals since the beginning.
“I recently visited Kokomo Winery at Timber Crest Farms and was thoroughly impressed. The vibe of the place is excellent—relaxed yet professional—but what really stands out is the service. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. As for the wines, the quality is top-tier. Their Pinot Noir is fantastic, and the Cuvée is absolutely incredible. I also really enjoyed their new Breaking Bread line; those table wines are perfect if you're looking for something fresh, light, and easy to drink. Overall, this is easily one of the best tasting experiences in Dry Creek Valley. If you are looking for high-quality wines and a great atmosphere, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!”
“After visiting a couple of wineries in mid-October, our last stop of the day was Kokomo. We got lucky with the weather. It was low 70’s, sunny with a light breeze. But, those are variables. Our server, however, wasn’t lucky. He was great: charismatic, full of good humor, with tons of wine knowledge. Thank you for recommending the Sangiovese and Merlot to round out our reds. We’ll be ordering plenty of the Sauvignon Blanc, along with the aforementioned reds, to be deliver to our home in Ohio. All thanks to your hospitality.”
“The name drew us in because of the Japanese Breakfast song “Kokomo, IN”. But we are so happy we made the trip up from the city- the staff were very friendly and nice to chat with! Mary was our host and guided us through the wine tasting - we needed extra help as newbies to the scene. Thank you and hope to be back someday :)”
“This was the best winery I visited in Sonoma, hands down. We wandered in without a reservation and after being turned away at other (more snooty) places, this place took us in like family. We had the pleasure of having Jeremy as our host. He was amazing - friendly, attentive, vivacious, and hilarious. I wanted to hang out all afternoon just chatting with him, honestly, but then I tried the wines and WOW. It’s like “they’ve got a great personality” - and oh yeah just so happen to be drop dead gorgeous! ALL of the wines were stunningly delicious. I am pretty picky but I loved Every. Single. One. Not usually a Chardonnay fan but there’s a first time for everything and I bought this one! Um, yeah, and 5 more…and might have even joined the wine club. 😂. This place has it ALL - friendly, approachable, great vibe, and seriously amazing wine. If you are in the Dry Creek Valley, make this your top priority stop. Heck, if you are anywhere within 50 miles of this place, build it into your itinerary. And if you happen to meet Jeremy, just tell him the 5 cat lady sent you.”
“Ever gone back to a place you love multiple times??? This is how I feel about Kokomo. For the past 2 years my boyfriend and I have been blown away by how amazing and complex the wines are, the informative and welcoming workers, and the consistent happy vibes that surround the winery. The wines are reasonably priced for how exquisite they are, aka we left with 2-3 bottles without hurting our wallets. Anytime I have parents asking me where I go tasting (teacher life), friends, and other family members I always recommend going here. I’ll be here next week as well!!!”
