Elgin, AZ · $$
Wine is probably not the first thing you think of when you hear the word “desert.” Los Milics aims to change that. We are a small, but expanding vineyard, winery and tasting room nestled in the fertile hills of southern Arizona, one of the fastest-growing wine regions in the country. Our grapes and varietals are hand-selected to suit the terroir of the area, and our award-winning wines are unique but approachable. We sit at an elevation of ~5000 feet, with substantially cooler temperatures than other parts of Arizona. Our climate and soil are ideal for winemaking. Our tasting room and casitas, to be located in breathtakingly beautiful Elgin, provide the perfect setting to take in new sights, sounds and tastes.
“We decided to finally stay at Los Milics Winery and it exceeded our expectations. Came for one night but added another! The Casita was so well planned out with gorgeous views and high end bedding, kitchenette with added logo beverage glasses, wine refridge and Nespresso maker. Ashley waited on us at their gourmet restaurant scallops memorable and the burger big and tasty while enjoying the incredible views of the high desert and of course, great wines! Tasting room so spacious and reasonable with 5 tastes and nice logo wine glass to keep! Second day toured the area and tried more delightful wineries but back for another dinner to top off a memorable time! It deserves all the hype and a very special place with attention to all details!”
“Los Milics Vineyard is truly a gem in Arizona wine country. I had the pleasure of doing a tour and lunch with my work colleagues, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. You can feel the passion they have for what they do. The food was absolutely delicious. The burrata cheese board and chicken salad were standouts, and whatever you do, don’t skip dessert.. it was so good. The tour itself was one of the best I’ve experienced; I loved the exclusivity and the intimate feel. The sleeping accommodations in the Casitas were beautiful and added such a special touch to the experience. I highly recommend Los Milics Vineyard to anyone looking to explore wine tasting in Arizona. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.”
“What a beautiful upscale place for top notch wine, food, and desserts. Kyle has been our wonderful server on 3 visits and is so knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. We learned a lot about the family tree of the Milics and the wine makers’ loved ones, as each of the wines is named after one of them. The views and architecture of the building are amazing. We want to stay in the casitas next time!”
“Beautiful, modern architecture with spectacular views. Plenty of parking and they have great food too. The charcuterie boards were my favorite. They’re light but flavorful and very aesthetically pleasing. The burger was juicy and the fries crispy! Tastings are $25 and you get to keep the glass. There’s 5 wines you get to taste. Service was great and so were the vibes. Lots of people with their dogs!”
“We have been steady customers of the tasting room dinners since the place opened. The architecture, food quality, and wines are really excellent. Service varies from great to poor, mostly due to poor English. Lately, however, the portions have become ridiculously small. The scallop entree has three small scallops on top of a thin layer of black beans. It is really an appetizer size. The current rigatoni pasta dish did not fill the small bowl even 1/3. It was a child’s portion. And, the Vera Earl streak was probably 4 ounces for $40, and came with a tiny amount of vegetables. Sending customers away hungry is going to kill business. We want to love this place, but it has become hard to do so.”
