“We had the tour and tasting with charcuterie and oculus for our honeymoon. Shiah was our guide and was the perfect blend of professional, personable, and humorous. She knew so many wonderful facts about the establishment and could explain the wines in an unpretentious fashion. We could not have imagined this experience without her. We were very surprised to hear it was only her first month there. Wishing her all the best and Mission Hill is a fine piece of history that can be appreciated by all that visit.”
“There are places one visits, and there are places one arrives, Mission Hill is unmistakably the latter. My wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary, and from the moment we passed beneath the archway, greeted by lovely people handing you pure white gold to drink, we knew the day would be something rare. The estate was architected with deliberate lines and views, all to be revealed in the tour. But stone and vine do not make a memory. People do. Ours was made by Hazel, who welcomed us not as visitors but as honored guests. She spoke of each wine as a story , and when she learned we were celebrating our anniversary, she folded that knowledge into the day with effortless grace. Standing in the hush of the underground cellar, glass in hand, another year of our shared life behind us, the moment felt less observed than consecrated. We added the Oculus experience to the end of our wine tasting, and that was the true magic, where every sip , every smell, every swirl of the glass made time stand still. " Time is the thief that empties every room, yet memory is the lamp it leaves behind. " Thank you Mission Hill & thank you Hazel !”
“We visited Mission Hill for a private tour and tasting and honestly, wow. Our guide Jake was exceptional; incredibly knowledgeable but so approachable, the kind of person who makes wine feel exciting rather than intimidating. He went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. The vineyard itself is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited; absolutely stunning. We were treated to a private room for our Icon Collection tasting, complete with food pairings that elevated every single wine. Each taste was better than the last, and that’s saying something. We left with a bottle of the Syrah (our only regret is that we couldn’t take one of everything!). If you’re visiting the Okanagan, do not skip this. Book the private experience, ask for Jake, and prepare to be blown away. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“I visited Mission Hill Winery because everyone kept telling me it’s a must-see in Kelowna, and honestly, it lived up to the reputation. The service, the interior, and of course the wine were all excellent—everything felt refined and thoughtfully curated. The only thing to note is that the price range is definitely on the higher side compared to other wineries. And while the staff who recommend the wines are very friendly and knowledgeable, I did feel a slight sense of being rushed at times, probably because it’s such a popular spot. There’s also a separate VIP tasting area, and seeing it from outside really makes you want to try it someday. It has that “I want to experience that too” kind of pull, especially because the entire setup is visible from outside. What I loved was how they display a wide range of wines—from premium to more affordable options—all arranged beautifully so you can see everything in one glance. The overall decoration and presentation are incredibly well done. One thing I wished for was being able to enjoy a glass of wine outdoors. There’s a park-like area with a stunning view of the lake, sky, and landscape. It would’ve been amazing to drink wine out there, but even without that, the indoor experience is still lovely. Whether you enjoy it inside or outside really just depends on what kind of wine experience you’re looking for.”
“Econic winery high on a West Kelowna hillside. Like it's name, it's as though you are entering a missionary. A tall bell tower rings for 5 minutes at noon, and shorter periods every fifteen minutes. To the right as you enter is the wine and gift shop. It has rooms for dedicated tastings, where we had a tasting with hor d'oeuvres, cumulating with a tasting of the iconic Occulus - which received a 100 point rating, and consistent ratings in the mid-90s. The tasting included Sauvignon Blanc, rose, merlot from the Terroir Collection, and Quatrain from the Legacy collection. Our favorite was the merlot - with distinctive merlot on the nose and taste. Our guide Mia was very friendly and informative. The shop had things you don't expect to see in a wine shop - luggage priced at $25 k, a book about Milan,... You get the idea. Classy...More for show. To the left on entering is the restaurant. All the tables in the restaurant have a lake view. We had a wonderful lunch (See the review). The grounds have a number of statues. Lending to the elevated experience. BTW Mission Hills was selected Winery by NWAC, the 7th time in the 25 year history of the awards. sected”
