Proprietor Michael Muscardini has been a maverick winemaker in Sonoma Valley for over 15 years. He is one of the winemakers that has been leading the way in the revival of Italian varietals such as Sangiovese and Barbera in Sonoma since 2005. Michael's deep community ties and warm relationships with local growers enables him to source some of the best fruit for his wines from some of the most unique vineyards in the county and beyond. Muscardini Cellars is a limited-production winery producing just 5,000 cases a year. Some of the signature wines in Muscardini's portfolio include a Sangiovese Rose, a robust super-Tuscan style blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Moon Mountain District. Muscardini Cellars is located along Highway 12 in the iconic Sonoma Valley. Relish a tasting flight on the patio with beautiful views of the Mayacama Mountain Range or bring a picnic to enjoy in Muscardini's serene backyard. The tasting room is located at 9380 Sonoma Highway and can be reached by calling (707) 933-9305. In order for us to offer you a memorable tasting experience, we strongly recommend guests make reservations for all of our wine tasting experiences. Same-day reservations will be accepted if there is availability. We accept reservations daily from 11:00am to 6:00pm. All reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pets are permitted on the property on leash. Food and picnicking are permitted during your reservation time. ** We have created our reservation schedule to provide the best possible wine experience to as many guests as we can safely accommodate each day. If you are late in arriving, your experience may unfortunately be shortened. We will hold your reservation for the first 15 minutes of your appointment time. If your party has not arrived or called within that 15 minute period, we reserve the right to mark your reservation as a no show or cancellation.
“Visited on 4-9-26 with my wife and two close friends for a private wine tasting. My wife and I have been wine club members since about 2013. Karen set up a beautiful presentation for our wine tasting experience. Bethany conducted a brief tour and conducted our tasting. All in our party were throughly impressed with the wine pairing we had. It was apparent much effort went into what was on our plates. Bethany did a great job on the tour and in conveying her knowledge of the wines we tasted. We visited 8 wineries during our trip and Muscardini ranked # 1 in every aspect. I highly recommend visiting Muscardini if you enjoy great wine and top notch customer service.”
“OMG, the wine here is phenomenal! We've visited a lot of established wineries, and while they always have a nice wine or two, this place knocked it out of the park. Obviously everyone's pallette is different, but my partner and I both enjoyed all of the wines on the tasting list. The cheese board that we ordered was also lovely. Apparently the salami on the board is soaked in wine from the winery, which is pretty interesting. Nicole handled our tasting and was very knowledgeable of all of the wines. This winery, unlike a lot of the other wineries, leans very much into Italian wine making, so we weren't familiar with many of the grape variants, but Nicole was able to explain everything very thoroughly.”

“My friends and I visited as part of a winery tour and it was a lovely stop. The wines were delicious and they had charcuterie boards for sale. The only negative, the property seems to have a wasp issue (they also love the charcuterie). Aside from that, would definitely recommend.”
