Nichelini Family Winery is proud to be one of the pioneers of Napa Valley’s modern wine industry. We are the oldest, continuously operated, family owned winery in Napa Valley. Come taste the difference over 135 years can make.
“Yesterday we visited this old school winery tucked away in the hills. We were greeted warmly and made to feel that we were part of a large family. A big thank you to K.T. Tony and Maxx for their enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the wines and the history of the place. The wines were truly special and some were unique to this winery. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning.”
“This winery is on the higher elevation, unique set up. We are here on a Sunday afternoon and it is extremely relaxing. The staff here are all so interesting to talk to. Fun to talk about the ins and outs of wine making. Love their wine!”
“Historic winery! Family owned since its establishment in the 1890s. Its far from the other wineries but if you enjoy history and wants to relax and enjoy the view of the mountains you should definitely check this place out. They were devastated by the recent fires in the valley but that they still managed to survive and continue their family traditions. The hostess were nice and informative. I was too drunk to give a review about the taste of their wines.”
“Delightful family-run winery. We discovered this places by chance, but I think it might have been fate. Our guide was welcoming, charming, engaging, and very helpful. The history and philosophy of the winery was fascinating. The survival of the property during the 2020 fires was a fascinating story by itself, but the family stories were also really interesting. The property is in a gorgeous shaded location filled with charm. We enjoyed 5 wines on our tasting and enjoyed them all! Thanks for a wonderful introduction to the Napa area!”
“Pros: great small family boutique style winery. Non pretentious, very good selection. I wondered in because I want to support our small vineyards who stay true and are not selling out, no matter how tough it is. With that being said: Con: did not get much information about the wines, what makes them so good, terrain, terroir, climate. I did hear it's 900 feet elevation which makes it different from Nampa, but not sure how. So unfortunately I did not learn much. I did learn it's 5th generation... But that's it. I did buy a 90 dollar Cab which is average for Nampa, but missed the quaint , personal attention ... Which is why it was recommended. But... Will visit again .perhaps they need some help in serving and knowing of what makes them special (other than 5 generations) which I must have heard about 6x. All in all great place, good wine for sure and worth a visit.”
