Charming neighbor hood bar and restaurant featuring Italian cuisine with a Midwest American flavor.
“Went to Northeast Social for a date night before going to some live music on a Friday night. We arrived at 6:30 and it wasn’t very busy, when we left around 8 it was packed. We shared the Caesar salad, a bottle of the house white wine and split the bucatini bolognese and ribeye. The white wine was great, I love a non confrontational white. The Caesar had delicious little pickled anchovies, lots of parm, fresh lettuce and crispy little bread bits. The stars of the show were the pasta and ribeye. The pasta was handmade, soft and perfect. The sauce was the perfect amount of chunky and came with soft garlicky bread. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, had amazing broccolini and a jalapeño hash brown. The jalapeño hash brown was shockingly amazing; you could really taste the jalapeño but not spicy. The meat was one of the best ribeyes I’ve ever had, I don’t love just slabs of meat usually but I’d eat that one everyday. It had a side of a fondue that was delightful and not too heavy. Sharon was our server and clearly a pro. She has attentive, had great recs and fun. This will absolutely be our new go to date night spot. We can’t wait to try more.”
“The holiday brunch w the sing along was a true joy !! See you next Dec ! If not sooner for your amazing dinners !”
“I have only eaten one thing repeatedly and it is excellent, their burger. I can’t speak to anything else on the menu. Service is fine, but sometimes laid back to the point of indifference. Atmosphere might be a little too trendy and hip for some people, but the space is attractive and well situated especially when going to see a show at Latte Da.”
“We had 8pm reservations on a Wednesday before a show at 331 and we walked in around 730 expecting a wait but there were maybe a couple tables full. They sat us right next to the open window and it was a perfect summer night! We ordered the Pork Belly & Scallops, Cesar Salad, Duck Breast and Gnocchi. Everything was delicious and the amount was perfect for two people. We also enjoyed two cocktails each and dessert: the panna cotta. 🤤 The service was great and the ambiance was cozy with fun artwork on the walls. The menu was simple yet there were quite a few items I’d love to go back and try. They said the menu changes with the seasons and I’m already looking forward to the fall!”
“The burger came out raw (ordered medium), we told the staff, but they did not remove the burger from the bill. The bologna sandwich is tasteless and salty. Staff not very attentive, but friendly! Shoestring fries were the best part of the meal. Too spendy to go back for subpar food - especially when there are so many delicious restaurants in the Twin Cities.”
