“I normally avoid hotel bars and restaurants but Star Bar is an exception. It's surprisingly low key and unpretentious. I've been there about 3 times while visiting Minneapolis and the food and service was stellar each time. Really great options on the menu (don't let "bar" in the name fool you, they have full food service). The atmosphere is cozy and chill, music is good and low volume, lighting is a warm dim background glow (but not too dark). It's a nice place to go if you're solo or with a date. Nothing to complain about here, it's great all around. Definitely recommended.”

“If you are anywhere near Star Bar and trying to decide whether it is worth the stop, go ahead and walk in. You will not regret it. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere pulls you in. It has that perfect balance of laid back and lively. The lighting, music, and overall vibe make it a place where you can either unwind after a long day or link up with friends and stay awhile. It feels welcoming, not forced. The service matches the energy of the room. The bartenders are friendly, talkative, and genuinely engaging. They do not just take your order and disappear. They check in, make recommendations, and keep the conversation flowing without ever being overbearing. That kind of interaction makes a place memorable. Now let’s talk about the food. The torta burger was spectacular. Juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. Every bite delivered. It was hearty without being overwhelming and clearly made with care. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Star Bar knows what it is doing. I will definitely be back.”

“12/10! No notes! Photo is of devoured Earth Bowl. As you can tell — I liked it… a LOT! I promise it looked 100x better when it was first brought out. Plating was truly beautiful. Wish “phone would have ate first,” but alas, the meal was too stunning to wait. Service was stellar as well! Will be coming back! Hopefully to try dinner the next time we’re in the cities!”

“This is a really cool restaurant with fantastic food. We stayed at the hotel and had most of our meals at the Star Bar and Bistro despite there being really good places to eat within walking distance. The brunch is excellent, the smash burger is ridiculously good. We were served on both mornings we were there by Madison at the bistro. She is FANTASTIC. So incredibly nice and welcoming. If you’re lucky enough to get her as your server/barista you will have an awesome time.”

“Walking into this place invokes feelings of class and comfortability. The chicken sandwich is likely the best I’ve laid my mouth on. Great spot for drinks or a dinner. The live music was great as well. Initially I felt the staff were apprehensive to approach, but was great once the service started.”
