“We took the Uni Shucking class. Our instructor was Corey and he was so awesome. Very helpful, friendly, and made the experience so memorable. He walked us through how to shuck and was there every step of the way to help us if we needed. While we were busy shucking, Corey got to know us a bit more and was able to ask us about our favorite fish to each, which he later cut up for us and included in our hand roll extravaganza! The portions were insane, we had so many leftovers to keep us happy for a few days extra. Make show to show up hungry! Would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, UNIque experience.”

“Osakana is one of those places I constantly crave in New York. No matter how long I’ve lived here, whenever I’m in the mood for sashimi, it’s always the first spot that comes to mind. We usually get takeout and DIY everything at home, and it’s become a little tradition for us. Their ingredients are incredibly fresh — the scallops and squid are my absolute favorites, and the rest of their sashimi is always delicious. The only problem is we always end up buying way too much and can’t finish it 😂 I highly recommend this place! You can easily recreate an omakase vibe at home, and it’s even better with a bottle of red or white wine on the side.”

“Ordered the nigiri standard- waited for about 10minutes. I’ve been on a mission to find the best sushi spot in the city. Probably one of the best sushi spots I’ve had so far that is privately owned and not a chain. The fish melts in your mouth and the sushi rice is seasoned. Pieces are nice and fat. You’re paying for high quality fish and the prices do reflect its standards. Osakana, you’ll be seeing me soon ;)”

“Did the sushi I class and had such a great time! They walk you through the origins of each roll you make and it’s such a fun class. The fish was fresh and they give a good amount of food! Left feeling full:) it’s also BYOB so if you want to drink any wine/sake you are welcome to”

“I don't normally write bad reviews but this place essentially stole our money. Long story short: during COVID times, my wife and I bought $360 worth of gift cards from their website since eating in was the thing back then - the gift cards were mailed to us. Life got busy and we forgot about the gift cards. Fast forward to last week, I tried using them in store but the cashier said they had $0 balance and were cashed out a few years ago in October 2023. Hard to believe and unable to give them the benefit of the doubt seeing how we don't live with anyone else and we've never set foot in the store until last week. Do not buy any gift cards from them.”
