“My sister and I both have food allergies and were nervous about trying a new restaurant. Before going to Palette for dinner we called and asked about certain dishes and the respective allergens, the man that we spoke with on the phone was very helpful and reassuring that they would be able and willing to help us. Once we got there we were immediately seated and gave our waiter, Mia, a heads up about our allergies. I had asked if they had the ingredients for the gluten free pizza crust that was offered, she went and asked someone to go check on it and then came back with our drinks. A minute or two went by and another gentleman came over to our table with a picture of the ingredients list for the pizza crust and apologized for the “wait” seeing as he had to run upstairs to another portion of the restaurant to get the ingredients for us. Both our waiter and the other person that came over were very nice and reassuring that it was no problem at all. We ended up ordering the seafood paella and the vegetable paella, our waiter helped us to make certain modifications to ensure that all allergens were removed. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize the dish contained one of our allergens until after the food had been brought out. My sister and I apologized profusely for the inconvenience, seeing that although this was truly no one’s fault, we felt bad that we were unable to eat one of the meals. Our waiter said it was no problem at all and did not get frustrated, instead she was very polite and apologized for the inconvenience to us and swiftly brought out a new (safe) dish for us to eat. All of the staff was very kind and made us feel very safe. Eating out with allergies can be so stressful because we often feel bad for the inconvenience, even though there is nothing we can really do to change it, but that was not the case here at Palette. Every single person that helped us was so reassuring and well-educated regarding allergies. Not to mention the food was also very good!! Huge thanks to everyone at Palette but especially to waitress, Mia, she was so nice and helpful the whole night!!”
“The food was absolutely incredible, we sat at the bar and the service was top tier! Staff were so kind. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed!”
“Beautiful Petoskey spot for dining in or outdoor dining. We had a table on the second floor with a great view of the Bay. We shared a caprese appetizer and two entrees - mahi tacos and vegetable paella. Everything was delicious (including the French 75 at Happy Hour). Wonderful service added to the experience.”
“Worth the drive… Outstanding food, atmosphere, and service. This little hideaway is reminiscent of any fine food purveyor in Carmel, CA: they know what they’re doing. Highly recommend: Farmers Pasta, Quiche of the Day, for Lunch & finish off with their Baked Pudding with ice cream & butterscotch (if an option when you go)”
“The paella was awesome with scallops. We had a window seat to a beautiful sunset. I dont remember our servers name but she was great. Highly recommend this place Thanks Palette Bistro for a wonderful 29th anniversary dinner.”
