“We had a wonderful experience at Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant. Street parking was easy, and we had no trouble finding a spot. I definitely recommend making a reservation—we went on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was completely full. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, and the live piano music was a great touch that made the evening feel even more special. Our server and the entire staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, and the cocktails were excellent. The food was very good, and the kitchen was happy to accommodate our special requests without any issues. What stood out most was the manager walking around the dining room checking on guests. We had one small issue, and he addressed it immediately. That level of attentiveness and commitment to guest satisfaction is exactly what I expect from an upscale establishment. Overall, a great dining experience with outstanding service. We’d definitely return.”

“We had the short rib, miso sea bass, and filet entrees with lobster bisque and other starters. The food was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted fantastic and there is nothing that I would want more. Even when asked for changes or additions to the entrees due to dietary needs the waiter and maître d'hôtel were accommodating and understanding. We will be coming back.”

“We went to Peter Shield today for my 30th birthday with my husband. It was amazing food and service. I had beef tartare, filet mignon with a lobster tail and white Chocolat Croissant. They serve me a cup of bubbly and a candle on my dessert for my bday. My Husband got the oyters and sea bass and both of us had kind of the best meal of our life. Thank you to Chris M for his excellent service and made this night special.”

“My wife and I enjoyed a special anniversary dinner here and it was everything we hoped for. The food was absolutely delicious and the bread is fresh. I highly recommend the lychee cocktail for a refreshing drink to start. The oysters were smaller than we hoped for the price, so I'd recommend against them here, but the tartar was incredible. Their seafood pasta and mahi mahi were phenomenal and I highly recommend both for entrees! They had a live pianist taking song requests which really made the evening special. Finally, there was a miscommunication about our reservation being outdoors vs indoors, but while enjoying our appetizers, their manager came by to let us know a seat opened on their front porch and she generously asked if we wanted to move there for the remainder of our meal. We were truly happy either way, but this was a kind gesture that showed just how much they pay attention to detail and how much they care about their customers. “This place is special from the home to the location to the staff and food. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Every dish was delicious for our table of 8. The service impeccable. The ambiance-including it's carefully preserved historic decor to the friendly piano player-pure perfection. I rarely write reviews because I don't impress easily, but Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant deserves 10 stars and is one where traditions and memories are made. Thank you for a lovely dinner evening!
