The redesigned rustic-meets-modern ambiance compliments the Contemporary American menu which features premium cuts of meat, ocean-fresh seafood and signature raw bar. Seasonal outdoor dining on the flagstone patio is available upon request. In 2013, Blue Bell Inn underwent extensive renovations for over a year. Various historical aspects were enhanced through thoughtful restoration and new materials such as solid white oak and porcelain tile floors were introduced to create a stunning architectural mélange spanning three centuries.
“Service is attentive but doesnt hover. Our waiter was professional, courteous, and helpful. We were given multiple options for seating and were set at the perfect table right next to the window giving us the benefits of outside without being outside. Regarding birthdays, while they will write happy birthday on a plate for dessert nothing is actually offered nor discounted when it comes to celebrating a birthday at this restaurant. Our order was taken nearly right away, with flatbread and rolls being provided to snack on before starters came out. Not that we had to wait very long at all to receive our first course. The waiter was attentive and very open to asking the kitchen when it came to food sensitivities. I appreciated that he paid attention to the level of rink left in the cups. In regards to the food: Crispy chicken bites were just as described. Light, crispy, with a sweet heat. Crispy calamari was equally so, light and Crispy with a sauce that did not overpower. The ribeye steak was cooked exactly as we asked. The meat was tender and cut very easily. The whipped potatoes had a lovely velvet texture and tasted of butter. Creamed spinach with bacon had a rich flavor that still allowed the spinach to come through without being completely overtaken by the bacon. Diver scallops are tender, they pull apart easily. Were cooked perfectly, not burnt, and tasted of salt and butter. They made for a wonderfully pleasant dining experience. Corn puree was sweet and very pleasant to eat with the whole corn kernels. Lemon thyme ravioli left much to be desired the pasta itself was hard, almost tasted like it was frozen. But the rest of the dish was so nice it was easy to overlook. Seafood pasta had the shrimp tails pulled off which was lovely. There were some conflicting flavors in the liquid on the plate. The lemon blew out whatever other flavors would have been in the dish. I did not have to search for the crab meat which was a nice change of pace. The peas were a bit hard and ended up tasting pickled because of the overwhelming lemon flavor. I do not think I would recommend the seafood pasta. Everything else we had for both appetizers and entrees were lovely in portion size, flavor, and appearance. For a business that claims to have an in house pastry chef, the dessert menu had a lack of pastry in it's options. We opted to try the cinnamon bun bread pudding along with their icecream that was stated to be made in house. We opted for the caramel flavor, and the bread pudding came with vanilla on it. The icecream had a creamy texture while remaining solid, the bread pudding was soft, spongy, and tasted just like a cinnamon bun. The caramel icecream had a burnt caramel flavor. Between the two I would recommend the vanilla. Though they do offer chocolate.”
“Great place in this little town. Lots of history, lots of great food. Our new go-to restaurant in Blue Bell. The service is professional and fantastic. The food leaves you wanting to meet the chef to congratulate him/her on the quality and the perfect blend of flavors!”
“We had an incredible experience at Blue Bell Inn. We were a group of 18, and they accommodated us beautifully by placing us in the elegant and very private Hunt Room. The space felt exclusive yet warm, making it perfect for our large gathering. The food was outstanding. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the desserts were just as impressive—rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to end the night. The wine selection was excellent as well… we enjoyed it so much we finished three bottles! What truly made the evening exceptional was the head service. It was beyond outstanding—professional, attentive, and seamless from start to finish. Despite our large group, everything flowed smoothly, and we felt genuinely taken care of the entire time. Overall, it was a top-tier dining experience we won’t forget.”
“Suzanne was phenomenal! The blue bell inn is always close to my heart especially the blue room or duck or bird room I would dine here as a kid so coming back and enjoying a nice meal with husband is so nice. The owner is so nice too ! The food is phenomenal!”
“Everything from beginning to end was nice. It was crowded Mothers Day weekend as expected but we were seated in a nice private dining area away from the main dining area. The handsome young manager seated us and checked on us later. The young guy who provide water and young guy who brought us foods both professional and accommodating. Our server forgot her name was great. The foods were good but the drinks were well worth the price and the appetizers. I will return for the happy hour.”
