Since arriving in Niagara on the Lake, Canada in 1948, the Pillitteri family has been committed to creating a legacy for generations to follow. Now, over six decades later, Pillitteri Estates Winery proudly continues a family tradition of viticulture and winemaking excellence. With three generations actively involved with our winery’s operations, we can truly say that each bottle of wine we make is a product of our family’s passion. We are proud to be able to share the fruits of our labour with wine enthusiasts around the world, and consider each person that enjoys a glass of Pillitteri wine to be a part of our family.
“We came here to scout out Barrelhead for our wedding rehearsal dinner (which we did decide to move forward with) and ended up doing a wine tasting with Jacob before we left. Jacob really is the Wine Wiz ! He knows his stuff and is very passionate about wine. It was very exciting to be in such a establishment with so many high regards and awards. Jacob kept us on our toes and took us into “the secret dungeon” during our tasting which was super cool. We aren’t ice wine drinkers but picked up a bottle that we tasted to try and expand our pallet. Can’t wait to come back here in august for our rehearsal dinner !!!”
“This winery is an absolute gem! I'm so glad I discovered it. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was impressed. The grounds are immaculately kept, with beautiful landscaping and a very clean, inviting atmosphere. We opted for a tasting, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. The selection of wines was impressive, and each one we tried was exceptional. They have a wide variety, from crisp whites to robust reds, and it's clear that they put a lot of care and passion into their winemaking. What truly elevated our visit, however, was the staff. They were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, happy to answer all our questions and provide detailed insights into each wine. Their passion for their craft was infectious, and they made us feel so welcome and appreciated. The charcuterie board we ordered to accompany our tasting was also superb – fresh, high-quality ingredients that perfectly complemented the wines. The tasting room itself is beautiful, with a comfortable and sophisticated ambiance. It's the perfect place to relax and savor the flavors. We ended up purchasing several bottles to take home, and I'm already looking forward to enjoying them. If you're a wine lover, or even just looking for a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, I cannot recommend this winery enough. It's a true five-star establishment in every sense of the word. Absolutely perfect!”
“Amazing EXPERIENCE! Excellent tour! Delicious food! The tour was so informative, allowed for lots of good conversation! The girls answered all our questions! Ice Wine is a must try and my husband and I sobered up with the pizza wnd water! We got a Stan Lee sighting of Mr. Pillieteri, which was nice treat!”
“We had a wonderful wine tasting experience! Jae Bum, general manager was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He not only guided us through the wines but also shared fascinating insights about the history of the winery and the business. His expertise and friendly manner made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommended! Incredible time we had.”
“Owners hate dogs. Do not support this place. Can't even sit OUTSIDE on the GRASS, OUTSIDE on picnic benches while our pup is INSIDE of a small self contained stroller NOWHERE NEAR an OPEN KITCHEN. Cut the crap with the response. Our pup is allowed all over the region, on planes, at resorts except here. IF she was a barker, we would NOT take her anywhere. She doesn't bark and is tiny and sleeps in her stroller. Larger service dogs are allowed all over the winery, on the grass near the "open kitchen" with some owners presenting fake certificates so why not allow a tiny pup in a stroller? Because they hate dogs here. The owners hate dogs. Shame. It's 2026 folks. Photos are taken at other Niagara area wineries and restaurants. We've been to 30+ wineries and this is the only winery where they won't allow our 4 lb pup in a stroller even OUTSIDE.”
