“Ali A. Was beyond amazing as a server, every person we interacted with was beyond helpful. One waiter noticed us commenting on the outside shades and came over to ask if we wanted it open. Lovely food. Lovely people. Ali makes the BEST food suggestions. This was our first time but not our last. Unfortunately we live 4 hrs away so we will have to make a trip!”

“We finally got a chance to try Q39 South and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. Kamryn was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable and took care of us well. For dinner, we ordered the Judge's Plate with sliced brisket, ribs, and pulled pork along with the 14oz Certified Angus Aged Ribeye and the Mac & Q topped with sliced smoked brisket. Every single item was outstanding. The burnt ends were the star of the show. They were perfectly smoky, tender and packed with flavor. The sliced brisket was juicy and sliced literally to perfection. The pulled pork was so flavorful without needing extra sauce. The Mac & Q was rich and creamy. I added the smoked brisket to it. The 14oz aged ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered and had incredible flavor. You could taste the quality of the beef and the herb butter melted beautifully into the steak. It was one of the best steaks we've had in a LONG time. What impressed us most was that everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. You can tell Q39 takes pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. The portions were generous. The flavors were bold and every bite was absolutely amazing. If you're visiting the Kansas City area or looking for authentic BBQ that goes beyond the basics, Q39 South is absolutely worth the trip. Between the award winning barbecue, incredible steak, and amazing sides, this is a place we'll be talking about for a long time and definitely returning to. 🔥🍖🥩👏”

“This is some fabulous BBQ! All of the meats were so flavorful and tender. So far we've had the chicken, burnt ends, ribs, sausage, pork belly, and brisket. Portions are decent size and most plates include two sides. Sides were ok but nothing compared to the BBQ. Cucumber salad and the mexican street corn were good, but not a fan of the baked beans. The bread pudding was different, pre cut into small cubes served with a delicious carmel sauce. The butter cake was also very good served with a large scoop of ice cream and sliced strawberries on the side. Definitely enjoyed my visit and will be back again!”

“The best meal I have ever had, maybe in my life. The best meat. The best bbq. The best waitress Christee (and her sidekick Liv) who recommended all the best things on the menu. Ask for the burnt ends appetizer, it's not on the menu. Get the cornbread. Get extra sides. Treat yourself to a smoked old fashioned with smoked honey from the bees they tend on the roof. If you are in Kansas City for one single day, this is the place to eat.”

“In town on business, we visited this restaurant for dinner. 5 star bbq place. We all had the brisket plate with burnt ends which one the best I had ever had. The service is very friendly and efficient. Our server Amani was specially attentive, knowledgable and friendly. They have three locations in KC area. A must visit.”
