During a recent visit, the coordination was seamless; when our table was needed, the team had proactively arranged a reservation for us at the bar to ensure our afternoon continued without any stress. “Fantastic!! The Ivy is luxury personified. We celebrated a special occasion in the rooftop area for dinner. Not only was the food delicious but the ambiance, decor and vibe of this place is amazing! We received excellent service from the amazing Sarah! She was helpful, kind, personable and really made our visit special. When one of our dishes came incorrectly, she spotted it and rectified it without us even having to say a word! Truly exceptional service from Sarah! We were also very graciously accommodated as one of our party had some food allergies. All of the dishes were explained and allergens confirmed to give us peace of mind! “We had a fabulous pre-theatre dinner here at the Ivy. The staff, from front-of-house to the servers were exemplary and only matched by the dining experience. After cocktails, we started with the duck parfait and lobster soufflé, followed by the chicken bourguignon and the linguine. Loved the vibe and decor here, especially with enough space around the tables so not feeling overcrowded. and will definitely be coming here again, thankyou!”

“We came here after being gifted a voucher as a wedding present. We chose the set menu, which was great value at £50 for three courses, a side, and a glass of champagne. I had the Korean chicken to start, followed by the sirloin steak with triple-cooked chips for my main (a £6 supplement). The food was good overall, although the steak was a little dry and I wish I’d ordered a sauce to go with it. For dessert, I had the affogato and my wife had the profiteroles. The staff kindly brought us an extra profiterole to congratulate us on our wedding, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We also enjoyed a few gin and tonics with our meal. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled right at the end. Before our dessert plates had even been cleared—and while I was still eating—the manager came over and told us they needed the table back and that we had to move to the bar. We felt very rushed. We’d only been seated for around 1 hour and 20 minutes, and although we explained this, he was quite pushy about us moving. We’d already ordered another drink, otherwise we would have cancelled it and left. It really felt like the focus was on turning tables over as quickly as possible rather than allowing guests to finish their experience comfortably. It’s a shame, because the food and the thoughtful gesture for our wedding had made for a lovely evening until that point.”
