“Saturday morning brunch. Not too busy. Good live music playing. AC could have been better, it was warm inside. Food was delicious, had the baked French toast. Nice thick slices with fresh fruit on top. It will fill you up! Overall positive experience, my 2nd time eating here.”
“Best Manhattan cocktail in town. If you are a novice to local jazz/blues, or you want to see local talent this is the spot. Great vibes and atmosphere. It gives a slightly speakeasy vibe - brick walls, intimate seating, side bar, quality drinks. The bartenders consistently know what they are doing here and do it right. 4 visits and every cocktail/mocktail has been 'spot on.' Cocktails are $15-$25 but worth every penny. Thier "well" whiskey isFour Roses Small Batch (a quality whiskey). Heading down stairs to the stage there is limited seating in front of the stage, however the bar is to the side where you will find a younger crowd after 10 pm om weekends. Limited viewing from the bar. Come early to get a spot. Reservations recommended.”
“Love this place! Service is always very good. Food is tasty. Music is top notch. On our recent visit PJ was our server, he was the best, friendly, welcoming, attentive, and upbeat. We had 5:30 pm reservations so that we could catch a 7:30 pm show at a nearby theater. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately in the upstairs bar area with a good view of the stage. Music started at 6:30 pm so we only caught a couple of minutes of the show. Reservations are highly recommended! Oh,,, we like the artwork and overall vibe…”
“Five stars for the overall experience at Beehive Café. The place has a really cool atmosphere—great energy, laid-back vibe, and the blues music playing in the background made breakfast feel more like an experience than just a meal. It’s the kind of spot where you want to linger a bit and enjoy the morning. The staff were fantastic. Our waiter was excellent across the board—attentive, friendly, and never rushed us. We never felt pressured to order, eat, or turn the table, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and welcoming. The team was also extremely accommodating with our seafood allergy concerns, which we really appreciated. Drinks were high quality and clearly made with care, and overall the food was good. The only minor miss for us was the French toast—it leaned more toward a lemon cake texture than traditional toast. Some people might love that, but it wasn’t exactly what we expected. That said, the atmosphere, music, great drinks, and genuinely excellent service made this an easy five-star stop. Definitely a place we’d come back to when we’re in the area.”
“Favorite date night location in Boston. Live music, great drinks, good apps if you’re looking for a nightcap or enjoy live music that matches the room. Have the option for two different seatings, either drinks and apps in front of the stage for the live music (if seating is available, first come first serve) and seating farther away if you want a real dinner. Seating in front of the music can be quite loud, but you’re in front of a speaker and band so you get what you came for! Drinks range in the $15-20 range each, but are great so if you’re okay paying for quality you’re in luck. Apps reasonably priced for something to pick at, dinner on the higher end but overall still expected for the venue.”
