“I recently went to Bresca for Mother’s Day lunch and had such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, of course, but what really made the day unforgettable was the kindness of our server (I unfortunately didn’t get her name). My son has severe autism, and that day he was feeling overwhelmed and didn’t want to eat anything. After I explained the situation, she was so understanding and compassionate. She even joked that she’d go get McDonald’s fries for him if that’s what he wanted, which instantly made us feel comfortable and welcomed instead of stressed or judged. At one point my son accidentally kicked the table (nothing spilled or broke), and instead of reacting negatively, she smiled and said, “Wow, he is so strong — you guys need to put him on a soccer team!” It may seem like a small comment, but moments like that mean everything to parents of children with special needs. She made us feel included, relaxed, and truly cared for. I’m so thankful for the way she treated our family and for helping create such a special Mother’s Day memory. I really hope the management recognizes how wonderful she is. Thank you, Bresca, for such a warm and memorable experience 🥹🩷”
“Had a great experience here! Would give it a 4.5 if I could. The food was great, the service amazing and the ambience was good too. It only falls short of a 5 star just because nothing was so extraordinary that I would want to go back. Tha caviar, prawns and dessert were amazing. Pretty expensive so not really an easy dinner option.”
“This is our 1st Michelin star experience and we were happy that we chose Bresca. Little hiccup at the beginning -We had a reservation for 8:30 but we're seated around 9. The service was smooth otherwise. We ordered à la carte instead of going with the tasting menu. We ordered 2 cocktails that were deliciously made. Stuffed chicken wings were the best as per me - out of everything else we ordered. We also ordered the duck and lamb. Loved the chocolate desserts. Highly recommend this place”
“Excellent service and atmosphere. They were very mindful of allergies. The food was disappointing tho. Overall, everything was too sweet. The 3 course meal on the menu had lamb, but what was served was pork. Paid extra $25 to get beef for one of the entrees, then it tasted much worse than the pork. The beef was not evenly cooked and almost felt like beef jerkey on the outside. It hurt my jaws to chew. I was not able to finish. Given the fact that it was a Michelin star restaurant, I had high hopes, but it was disappointing to say the least. The snacks were better than the salad (too sweet) or the beef dish (too tough to chew). The pumpkin salad and maple syrup dressing combination made the dish too sweet almost numbed my taste buds. The dessert was decent but was still too sweet for my taste. I am not going back to this restaurant or recommending the place to others. Sorry. If you must go here for any reasons, I would recommend doing al la carte instead of a course meal.”
“TLDR: Given our consistently great experiences at Jônt, we expected more from Bresca, but ultimately left disappointed. We were really looking forward to trying Bresca because we have been to Jônt several times and have always had an amazing experience there. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. We arrived on time and were already parked, but still waited about 20–30 minutes to be seated because the previous table was running over. I understand that happens, and they did provide a starter non-alcoholic drink as a gesture to acknowledge the wait, which we appreciated, but it was still not the smoothest start to the evening. We ordered the seasonal tasting menu and added the extra accompaniments, including the foie gras and dry-aged strip loin. For a meal that came out to around $600 with 3–4 cocktails/wine, we expected the experience to feel more refined. The strip loin was especially disappointing: although we requested medium, the exterior was noticeably tougher than others we’ve had before. The main issue was finding a bug in one of the small side salads. The restaurant did bring out an extra dessert as an apology, which we appreciated, and explained that fresh ingredients can sometimes come with unwanted pests. While we understand that these things can happen, it was still disappointing and surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. What I was taken aback by was that the same leftover salad where the bug was found was later packed into our to-go box.. No one was rude and there were parts of the meal we enjoyed, but the overall handling felt off. We have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants in the area and are used to seeing a bit more care around even small mishaps. Given how consistently great Jônt has been every time, we were surprised by how different this experience felt.”
