In Dupont Circle—one of Washington’s most storied areas—The Pembroke is where neighborhood warmth meets cosmopolitan style. A MICHELIN-recommended restaurant, it’s inviting and effortlessly stylish. This warmth and sophistication isn’t staged—it’s lived, stitched into every detail and gesture. From the attentive service to the welcoming setting, there’s a genuine ease and familiarity to the experience. The Pembroke moves with the city’s rhythm: mornings bring leisurely breakfasts, afternoons unfold into relaxed lunches, whereas evenings beckon intimate diners and spirited celebrations. Weekend brunch? The neighborhood’s liveliest spot. Seasonal ingredients guide the menu, turning familiar flavors into inventive dishes that feel deliberate yet approachable. It’s a restaurant that mirrors Washington itself—international, exuberant and endlessly in motion. To dine here is to tap into the city’s pulse, one plate, one cocktail, one conversation at a time.
“The food, the decor, the vibes were amazing. Spent the day at the National Mall and made a reservation here for dinner, it was so idyllic after a busy day of walking. The wait staff was incredible, the runners, hostess, everyone! The atmosphere was so lovely because the people were. Adam was our server and he was perfect! Highly recommend!”
“What an incredible resturant all the way around, it's one of the best dining experiences we've had in DC and we actually didn't dine on property, we did takeout to our room instead. The Pembroke is located within the Dupont Circle Hotel and this establishment is stunning plus the food was even better. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough, the food was special and the service at the bar for pick up was fantastic as well.”
“The food is consistently outstanding, but what truly elevates the experience is the exceptional level of service and genuine friendliness of the team. Our waiter was fantastic. attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions with care. It made the entire visit feel welcoming and memorable. My friend enjoyed his birthday 🎂! Thank you everyone.”
“We enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch at The Pembroke. The wonderful views with the bright sun streaming in the huge windows makes for a beautiful atmosphere. Aroldo F was very attentive to our every need. Our party started with a Jumbo Cinnamon Roll-it’s everything a cinnamon roll should be, freshly baked, lightly sweet with just enough glaze and delicious! We also enjoyed the Steak & Eggs- the steak cut like butter; The Brioche French Toast-nicely crisp on the outside and perfectly balanced sweetness throughout; and The Benedict Royale-the combination of locally smoked salmon, deliciously toasted English muffins, perfectly poached eggs topped with a silky smooth sauce was just delicious and it is paired with a perfectly portioned mixed greens salad. A perfect way to spend a relaxing Sunday. We will be back.”
“Truly a lower than average experience food wise. Arti and Jose were great servers! Very attentive and provided recommendations without hesitation. My main issue here is with a manager I presume she was. The steak and eggs I had ordered came with a hair on the side of the potatoes. She stopped by shortly after our food came to ask how things was and that is when I brought up the hair. I just asked for the potatoes to be remade. I understand hair happens but I was not thrilled when she insisted on remaking my entire dish. I gave up after the third insistence after I repeatedly said it was fine, I just want new potatoes. My original dish was delicious (I avoided the potatoes of course). Steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. However, my new dish was horrible. I had a feeling it was going to be awful as it’s expected the new dish would be rushed whenever the original dish gets sent back. The steak was chewy and not medium cooked. Overall dish was very salty. If they added another seasoning I did not notice as the salt overwhelmed it. It also appears they doubled portioned everything but the steak. I would have much appreciated the original dish with the hair in it. I had expressed this to Arti and he was sympathetic. He was unknown to the issue I had with my dish. At that point I didn’t really want anything more from here. Just the check and to leave. After that whole incident, I would have assumed my order would have been discounted or taken off the bill. That was not the case. She also vanished from our sight since taking my food back. My mom ended up not enjoying her meal either. She had the French omelette and thought the mustard was a rather overpowering touch to it. My mom was also surprised my meal was still on the bill. She was going to complain but I withheld as it truly is not that deep especially since the manager didn’t care to come back to check if the new dish was satisfactory or not. I was given a warning not to go here by my friends and boy did I wish I listened. I wouldn’t come back on my own accord but to eaches own. This restaurant will most likely stay here forever given its amazing ambiance and ease of location.”
