“Residents is hands down one of my favorite spots in the city! The drinks are amazing. Creative, well-balanced, and made perfectly every time. You can tell they really care about quality. The food is just as impressive. Everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and well-presented. It’s the kind of place where you can actually enjoy a full dinner before the night picks up. The atmosphere is what really sets it apart. The vibe is always on point with great energy, stylish crowd, and great music provided by their DJs on the weekends. Whether you’re going out with friends or just want a good night with good music, great food and drinks, Residents never disappoints.”
“I came here by myself while on a work trip in DC and absolutely loved the food and service! While this was on the higher end, I wanted to have one nice dinner while here and this place satisfied everything I wanted! I ended up getting an elderberry drink, humus w/ pomegranate, and a lamb dish, all being fantastic! The overall atmosphere and restaurant was upbeat with low lighting, and I could see this being a nice place to come out for drinks and dinner with people or solo dining again in the future if I am back in DC.”
“Nice interior with the ceiling floral design. Great date-night spot. About $40 per person. Ordered 4 large plates (octopus, fish, risotto, etc) and they were all solid. The staff were friendly as well.”
“Chic Breakfast Spot With a Healthy Kick 🍉🥑 The watermelon & heirloom tomato salad was the standout — fresh, bright, and so addictive I’d order it again on its own. The Turkish eggs were creamy (a little spicy🥵 , so ask for less chili if you prefer mild), and the salmon toast with avocado and eggs was filling and flavorful. Pair it all with their Immune fresh-squeezed juice and great coffee, and you’ve got the perfect breakfast combo in DC.”
“It was extremely disappointing to see this steak labeled as “Wagyu.” The quality did not reflect that designation at all. The steak was served completely cold, dry, lacked ANY noticeable marbling, and was grotesquely overcooked. Describing it as Wagyu feels misleading and does not align with the standards customers reasonably expect when ordering that grade of beef. I have had standard ribeye cuts that more closely resembled true Wagyu in both flavor and texture. If this had not been Valentine’s Day and I had not been dining with a group, I would have sent the dish back. However, I chose not to create a disruption during the occasion. In addition, when we are spending approximately $170 per person, not allowing a simple liquor substitution in a cocktail feels unnecessarily rigid and inconsistent with the level of service that price point implies. At that level of spend, customers reasonably expect some degree of accommodation and personalization. A policy like this comes across as restrictive rather than hospitable and detracts from what should otherwise be a premium dining experience. correspond to premium quality. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure that menu descriptions accurately represent what is being served. Customers trust that premium labels correspond to premium quality. We will not be returning.”
