“5 stars in every category. I'd highly recommend getting a reservation. My party & I got lucky. The dishes were phenomenal. The deviled eggs with the turkey base was unique. The Black Star with the fried plantains and the curry was absolutely delicious. The Buka was great especially with the rice substitute of jollof rice that comes with chopped turkey sausage.”

“🌟 Wow! What an amazing experience at ChopnBlok! 🌟 From the moment we walked in, the hospitality stood out. The hostess station is located deeper inside the restaurant, but she was actively monitoring the entrance and immediately greeted us with a warm wave and welcome. It was a great first impression and set the tone for the entire visit. Mo was our server, and he was absolutely outstanding! After learning it was our first visit, he took the time to walk us through the menu, explain the different dishes, offer recommendations, and even ask about allergies and dietary restrictions. His service was easily a 12/10. In a time when great restaurant service can be hard to find, Mo reminded me what it feels like to be served by someone who genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience for his guests. 👏 To drink, I had the Oga Palmer Refresher, which was delicious and incredibly refreshing. For an appetizer, I ordered the Coconut Chicken Bites. They were flavorful and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. For my entrée, I chose the Golden Bowl and added a side of Suya. The bowl was hearty, flavorful, and very filling. My husband ordered the Black Star and substituted chicken for the shrimp. While the Golden Bowl had a slight kick to it, the Black Star had a smooth, smoky flavor that was equally delicious. Ironically, he preferred my Golden Bowl, and I preferred his Black Star! 😄 When Mo described the Plantain Bread for dessert, I knew I had to try it—and I am so glad I did! It was absolutely incredible. It tasted like a cross between banana bread and bread pudding, and the cream on top took it completely over the top. 🤤 This was my first experience with West African cuisine, and it definitely won't be my last. The food was excellent, the hospitality was exceptional, and the service was some of the best I've experienced in a very long time. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers both amazing flavors and outstanding customer service, ChopnBlok is a must-visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“It was our first visit here EVERYTHING was a 10/10! From the balanced yet strong drinks, the flavor filled appetizers and entrees. Don't skip the dessert it was delicious! Our server Tiffany was amazing made great recommendations and helped us curate our bowls to perfection! This experience, ambiance, and service was top tier!”

“Starting of with parking it is hectic. The area is growing so quickly so that left little attention to parking. Some of the other shops have designated parking and you can possibly find a spot with no signs. I went thought the week and can’t imagine how bad it can get on the weekends of holidays. Make a reservation. I’m not gonna elaborate on that. When you walk in go all the way to the back of the restaurant by the bar to get sat but the host. Indoor and outdoor seating is available plus bar seating. I chose a booth with a sick view of the whole place. Workers are attentive to each customer. Many moving parts. Music is nice and wish I was there to catch some of the live shows. Painting on the walls are unique to talk about. You can tell there is culture everywhere. The definition of a place with character. Food was GREAT. The smoked meat was not so much for me but I did still enjoy it. I don’t plan on visiting again because I suffered the worst stomach pain after eating. I’m not the one to ever experience issues as such and really hope it was a random incident. My fiancée did not experience this and others have had great experiences. So if you aren not use to the dishes then maybe play it safe with something you are use to. Very popular spot with reason. Portions are huge as seen by the leftovers. And I’m a foodie who can EAT.”
