Faccia a Faccia is the new coastal Italian restaurant from award-winning chef and restaurateur Ken Oringer. Led by Executive Chef David Bazirgan (Uni) the restaurant focuses on seasonal dishes highlighting the diverse cuisine of the coastal Italian region, drawing inspiration from their travels across Liguria, Sicily, Sardinia, and more. Faccia a Faccia features an expansive outdoor patio with lush greenery, inspired by al-fresco dining in Italy. Located below Faccia a Faccia is a natural wine bar called Bar Pallino. Helmed by Beverage Director Jodie Battles, Bar Pallino showcases an extensive list focusing on organic, natural and biodynamic selections.
“We had an excellent experience at Faccia a Faccia! All of the food was truly delicious, with a diverse menu. The ingredients are fresh and we were told they are often are seasonal/come from local markets. Plus, there were so many gluten free and celiac safe options. The handmade GF pasta, in multiple styles, is absolutely perfect in texture. They also have a dedicated fryer and take upmost precaution. My favorite food of the night was the lobster arancini (pictured). It was decadent with fresh lobster salad and warm toasted risotto. Absolutely worth the price. The yuzu/earl grey mocktail and cherimoya sorbet were also excellent. The service was top notch. When we arrived, the music was overwhelmingly loud, to the point I couldn't hold a conversation across the small table. Our waitress was kind enough to turn it down, which was not my expectation at all but was deeply appreciated. She also helped with a drink alteration and food selection. Her hard work and the delicious food made made our dinner perfect.”
“The food was absolutely amazing. My waitress gave me some rosè to start off the night. We got the lobster arancini to start things off and it was amazing. For entree, I got the cavetelli cacio e pepe, and my boyfriend got the bucatini bolognese and they were both to die for. They were also gluten free and delicious. For dessert, we got the almond cookies and they did not disappoint. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The food was great and my waitress was outstanding.”
“We had the octopus, squid ink trottole and gelato. All were incredible. They know their flavors. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. Will stop by every time I’m in Boston. Highly recommend.”
“- Really enjoyed the food and service here; we had a better experience than what a lot of the reviews had mentioned. - Recommend grandma bread and carciofi fritti which are fried artichokes and a heavier appetizer - Pastas were very well seasoned; recommend lobster radiatore and the bucatini bolognese - I don’t get cocktails a lot, but the beekeeper was insanely good and highly recommend”
“Definitely did not meet our expectations. Dinner menu online on your website has more offerings than the menu when we were seated. The service was good. The drinks were good. We ordered the burrata which was supposed to have pear in it somewhere but all I could taste was an overpowering vinegar. Next up was the arangini. Sharing? If nothing else you should let the customer know that this is a 1/2 of one arangini and honestly just enough for one person. Not that great but it was just ok. We were both looking forward to the fried artichokes that are on your menu but disappointed to see they were not an offering on the menu given to us. I don’t see anything on your website that says the selection on a Sunday is different, in fact you have a dinner menu. Without making any more selections we decided to call it quits and have a later dinner somewhere else . I was so looking forward to this, celebrating an early birthday and in town with my Daughter.”
