Located on an idyllic tree-lined stretch of Hyde Street, with cable cars rolling by, it captures the charm of San Francisco in a way that feels effortless and authentic. From the moment you walk in, the warmth is immediate. Rebecca, the owner, greets guests from the host stand with genuine kindness, making everyone feel less like a customer and more like a neighbor. She even waves to the passing cable cars, adding a personal touch that makes the experience feel fun and memorable. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it could not have been a more perfect setting. The atmosphere strikes a beautiful balance, elegant but never pretentious, cozy but special enough for an occasion. It is the kind of place where you can come for a nice neighborhood dinner or celebrate something meaningful and feel equally at home. The food is delicious, thoughtful and well executed without trying too hard to impress. And do not skip dessert. The array of house made ice cream, also made by Rebecca, is absolutely worth it. Frascati is the definition of a neighborhood gem, welcoming, charming, and consistently great. It is a place you will want to return to again.”

“Everything is right about Frascati. First, the people that greet you at the door always make you feel like a regular. “We missed you!” “So good to see you.” even though we don’t live in SF full time so we only get there 4 or 5 times a year. Every staff member paid attention to our table: refilling glasses, taking orders, checking on us. Food is superb. The roasted chicken is my favorite: crispy and well seasoned on the outside and moist inside. Homemade ice cream in many flavors. And the ambience:lighting just right(light enough to read the menu but not bright), local art on the walls, warm and cozy feeling.And did I mention it’s on the tree lined Hyde Street cable car line so cable cars roll by every few minutes? Perfect for an iconic SF dinner for your out of town guests! And the hosts often go out and wave at the cable cars which prompts big grins and waves from the passengers.”

“Went here for my second wedding anniversary! The food and staff were incredible! They gave us a complementary glass of wine to go along with dinner to celebrate the occasion. The place is a little bit crowded and I do recomend getting a reservation but they treat all their guests with the best service and experience they can provide. Thank you Frascati for making my anniversary so special.”

“Really enjoyed this spot overall. The food was excellent and the service attentive. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with beautifully crisped skin and great flavor. The risotto was rich and creamy while still having just the right bite, and the wine pairings worked very well. That said, the burrata appetizer was a real letdown. At $16 for just two pieces (with stale bread, no less), it felt underwhelming and overpriced, especially if you’re sharing. For a group of three or four, it just doesn’t make sense to serve it that way. Overall, a great experience thanks to the main dishes and service.”
