“Y’all, I had heard mixed reviews about Isla, but I honestly don’t know why because this food slapped! I originally wanted the fried snapper, but I got discouraged when I realized they cut it into fish nuggets. I would’ve much preferred the whole fish so I could dig in myself. Anyway… everything we actually ordered was a hit. The oysters were a 10/10, the dips and spreads were a 10/10, and honestly, I don’t think we had a single miss. Every bite was so good. The drinks were cute, but definitely not strong. If you like lighter cocktails that you can actually sip and enjoy, this is your spot. If you’re looking to get a buzz from one drink, you might be disappointed. The ambiance is easily a 10/10. It’s such a great vibe for brunch, dinner, or drinks with friends. I’ve never had an issue finding parking either, although I know that can be hit or miss for some people. Overall, I’d definitely come back. The food alone is worth it. Solid service as well.”

“Came for dinner, no occasion, and had a great experience. Nate was our server and he was both hospitable and personable. Chef came by and spoke many times and asked if we had any questions. Food was flavorful and timed well for us to enjoy our bottle of wine.”

“Absolutely superb experience from start to finish. The decor is stunning, and the dark and moody ambience makes it a relaxed experience. Service was very attentive and professional. As for the food, it was epic! The lamb tartare was a strong opening, highly recommended. The patties are a must try, they were all great but the oxtail and crab ones were the best. As for the mains, I really enjoyed both the chargrilled octopus and the roast pumpkin gnocchi, both were outstanding. The bbq greens were a formidable side, bursting with both heat and flavor. Cocktails were creative, well balanced and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.”

“Had such a great experience at Isla! The food was amazing, the ambiance was beautiful, and the whole experience felt sophisticated and welcoming from start to finish. A special shoutout to Nathan, our waiter, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and so warm and attentive throughout the night. He gave great recommendations, made us feel really taken care of, and his Spanish was amazing too which my family loved lol. Definitely one of our favorite dining experiences in DC and we can’t wait to come back!”

“One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve been to in 2026. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary that we loved our server. Sydney was awesome. Customer service around the board was great. I love the staff. The food was to die for. We had the fried snapper the sirloin steak and sharp grilled octopus. Definitely recommendation out of 10 that Isla Daq was so good and beautiful.”
