“Top tier Mexican restaurant that is great for any celebration or date night. The portions are big and every ingredient is high quality and delicious. The interior is gigantic with lots of seating but still best to make a reservation on busy days. The seafood and meat boards are great for large parties for everyone to share and try different options. Fantastic service and great vibes.”
“A very popular Mexican restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum! Try to make a reservation if you're interested in coming here. It's pretty big and has a lot of tables, but it still gets very full. The service here is excellent and the food options are delicious. The Chili verde was tender and moist and highly recommended! The nachos and salsa kept coming. Very well designed interior.”
“I went with a pal and just had drinks. It was expensive and the service was sort of slow considering the price. The food was decent as I was given a little to try. The atmosphere is dark lighting wise in the evening but the vibe was nice. The atmosphere is fancy. If you got the money it’ll be a nice time.”
“The steak was delicious, and the lobster was amazing! All the food was excellent 😋! The service was impeccable! Very attentive and welcoming!!! Highly recommended! I'm giving it 4 stars because there was no hot tea; I hope they'll add hot tea.”
“Javier's is an absolutely stunning restaurant with a very cool vibe, which is exactly what drew us in. We visited late on a Monday evening and the atmosphere was definitely the highlight. However, the experience with the Maître D' was a bit off-putting. We were initially being seated at a table for two near a fire pit, but we asked to move to the circular section where the vibe was much better. He made a point of telling us they don’t normally sit two people at a four-top, but he’d "accommodate" us since it wasn’t busy. It was a slow Monday night; he should have just sat us where we wanted to be without the unnecessary commentary. The Service was truly exceptional. Our waiter, Jiro, was the absolute best! So nice, accommodating, and took incredible care of us. The busboy (whose name I sadly didn't catch) was also fantastic. The Food - This is where we were underwhelmed, especially considering the price point ($$$$). I ordered the shrimp ceviche, and while the flavor was great, the shrimp was chewy and tough. As someone who considers themselves a ceviche connoisseur and having tried it everywhere from tiny Mexican dives to the most upscale establishments, I was bummed at the quality. My husband’s meal (enchilada, chile relleno, and crispy taco combo) also fell flat. The taco was very dry, and honestly, we’ve had better enchiladas at our local $6.99 spot. For one appetizer, one entree, a glass of wine, and a beer, the bill was $96.98 before tip. For these prices, the food really needs to match the stellar decor and the top-tier service provided by Jiro.”
