“It had been a long time since we’d last eaten here, and the food and service didn’t disappoint. We tried the fried whole red snapper, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything we had over the years has been great!”
“5⭐ Amazing Vietnamese-French and dessert was the showstopper! Came in for dinner and walked away really impressed. Vibrant flavors, beautiful presentation, and a menu that rewards ordering broadly. ✨ Apps were a strong start. The Heritage Pork Ribs had a fantastic sweet glaze, real standout. 🍖 The Tuna Tartare over avocado with caviar was bright and well-spiced with great texture, easily one of my favorites of the night. The Crispy Shrimp & Pork Rolls and slaw were both fine, just didn’t pop the way the rest of the table did. For mains, the whole Red Snapper (Ca Chien Saigon) stole the show, incredible flavor, great texture, and the fried touch made it sing. 🐟 Brussels sprouts side was solid, jasmine rice was just rice. I didn’t get a bite of the Shaking Beef and but had a little of the chicken, which was fine. The Shrimp Green Curry though was a nice, spicy, and layered. 🍤 On drinks, I had the white peach mocktail, subtle, more tea-forward than fruit-forward, but enjoyable. 🍑 Then dessert, where Le Colonial really separates itself. We got one of every option (minus ice cream sampler). The Crème Brûlée was solid, even if the sugar crust ran a little light. 🍮 The Dark Chocolate Volcano Cake had more of a liqueur kick than I expected but was still good. The two showstoppers by far were the Warm Coconut Tapioca and a golden mango coconut sphere, that one was the best bite of the night, exceptional flavor and presentation. 🥭”
“The small plates are where Le Colonial shines. I would definitely recommend going that route, with the tuna tartare and shrimp pork rolls being the best. The mains are slightly weak in my opinion, but overall good food. Service is fine, but could have been a little tighter / friendlier.”
“We had our first Booked and Brunch book club meeting at Le Colonial. Its a large beautiful, inviting space and the ambience food and service were all 10 outta 10. I had the Signature Saigon Tea and Fried Rice and was very pleased with my selections. The staff was so attentive and accommodating, and graciously took pictures/videos of us when we requested. I appreciated the valet parking validation as well. I'll definitely return.”
“Arrived at 8:30pm on a Tuesday Night and it was crowded! I made the mistake of booking the reservation outside but the waiter was decent enough to get us a booth inside. The new waitress was nice but just ok. Maybe since we were the last table of the night. Food was great tho. We tried a few things. I wouldn't say its a Great date night place because its pretty tight quarters with people everywhere but still a nice cool restaurant with great food. Although we didnt like the chocolate cake dessert lol. Will a different one next time.”
