Housed in a former mortuary, the decor layers macabre remnants with posh details in a window-flanked space overlooking the charming Lower Highland neighborhood. The drink menu features sips and seasonings as savory as the dishes with which they're paired. While the rooftop patio-outfitted with 1975 GMC RV as bar and repurposed food truck as kitchen- beckons patrons towards adventure.
“Visited with my fiancé and so glad we did!! Service was super quick and responsive (shoutout to our waitress, Anna!!) Each dish and drink was perfectly done and plated like a work of art. The restaurant was super busy but never uncomfortably loud. Will definitely come here next time we’re in Denver! Try the bao!”
“I have been to linger a number of times but this was the first time for brunch! Went for a wake and bake brunch special. They had a dj and the vibe was lively. The menu is very unique and the food was all good! I couldn’t decide what to get and had the salmon bene based off our waiters recs and it was good! Love the sweet potato fries always.”
“Went in on a Saturday morning without a reservation but we were able to be seated pretty quickly as we got there around 1030am. We sat at a cute booth upstairs and ordered an elderflower spritz which was big and refreshing. With a cute view of the highland area and beautiful day, we ordered to the crispy pie Benedict and the breakfast dosa. The pie was awesome, sort of like a quiche topped with poached eggs and non traditional hollandaise, The star of the show was the breakfast dosa. No joke it was a spectacle and tasted AMAZING! The bread was perfectly flavored and crispy and the potatoes, brussel sprouts were soft but structured. The flavors were sort of curry based and I loved it! Ripping the bread to eat with it was divine! I ordered a side of potatoes, which were good but I didn’t need them, the dosa was enough! For price point, quality and service I would highly recommend !”
“We randomly went there for a celebration-made a quick reservation and hopped in, had some amazing bao buns(too delicious-fav dish for the night). We had some more appetisers like cheese curds which was good as i love it and honey sweet potato fries were v sweet so pro tip is to ask honey on the side if you don’t like it too sweet! We got pad thai which was great too, overall fun night w lovely food!”
“If you’re looking for a spot with undeniable vibe, Linger absolutely delivers. The ambience is easily the star of the show—dim, moody lighting paired with some of the best views in Denver. On a beautiful evening, the open-air setup makes it feel like you’ve stumbled into one of the city’s coolest rooftop escapes. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger (no pun intended) over drinks and soak it all in. The staff also deserves credit—friendly, attentive, and clearly dialed into creating a great guest experience. Where things start to fall apart, unfortunately, is the food. The concept is ambitious: a globally inspired menu pulling flavors from all over the world. In theory, it should be exciting. In execution, it feels like too much of a good thing. Nearly every dish we tried leaned heavy—over-seasoned, overly sauced, and lacking balance. The most consistent note across the board? Salt. Not just a touch too much, but enough to overpower the actual ingredients. Instead of distinct, thoughtful flavors, many dishes felt like they were competing with themselves—bold sauces layered on top of already strong components, resulting in bites that were more overwhelming than enjoyable. It’s the kind of menu that seems designed to impress, but ends up exhausting your palate. Linger nails the atmosphere and hospitality, making it a fantastic place for drinks, a date night, or to show off Denver’s scenery. But if you’re coming primarily for the food, it may leave you wishing for a bit more restraint and refinement. Great setting, great service—but the kitchen could benefit from remembering that sometimes, less really is more.”
