“Amazing food, service and vibes here and really worth the hype and good reviews! From the starters, we ordered the focaccia, trio of butters, olives and burrata and they were all so lovely. The focaccia was sooo soft. I ordered the special pasta filled with beef and it was delicious. My friends ordered the carbonara and vodka pasta and loved their dishes too. The negroni here is very tasty. To finish we ordered the tiramisu and the doughnuts which were the perfect way to end - the dessert portions are generous so consider sharing! Service was very attentive and timely. Definitely will be back.”
“I visited last night with my partner. The service was spectacular! ( everyone was beautiful.. and well dressed) I was slightly disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options though! For a pasta bar, I think having a good amount of veggie options is important. As for the food we ordered: a pizzetta as a starter and cacio e pepe + seafood pasta as our mains. The pizzetta was wonderful. The seafood pasta was also a hit. Complete 10/10 The cacio e pepe was not as much of a hit though:( it was not hot… at all. I definitely could’ve said something so I don’t want to blame service staff or anything, we were just so hungry and didn’t want to kick up a fuss. Although it wasn’t hot enough, the flavor was amazing and texture of the pasta was perfect. Overall we had a great experience despite the temperature issue with one of the pastas. I will definitely come back, and will bring friends as I think this is a crowd pleaser Pls add more vegetarian options though xx 🍝❤️🦀🦑”
“Nice, light and airy venue for lunch. It’s nice to see a simple menu! We tried the Ham and pineapple pizzeta, the Spaghetti With Parsley, Garlic, Chilli & Pangrattato, bucatini carbonara, the lamb ragu special with asparagus but the dish that really stood out was the 🌟Mafaldine With Beef Shin Ragu🌟, the depth of flavour was fantastic. The desserts were generous in portion and it would be lovely if I could say the same of the mains. The other area of improvement was the service was pretty slow, it took a while before our food to come out and the a while to get the bill, but if you’re not in a rush there’s nothing to worry about”
“Had a lovely experience at Onda! Highlights of the meal included Via’s service (so so lovely and helpful - her recommendations were amazing!), the cavatelli with anchovy butter, chicken stock, chilli and pangrattato (favourite pasta dish I’ve had in a long time) and the basil amaretto sour. We also tried the focaccia (very yummy!), the trio of butters (we said we wouldn’t get them again but I saw other tables finishing them off so this is just personal preference on if you like butter w focaccia), the beef shin ragu (this was v much lacking in flavour so if you’re a big flavours person definitely skip this one) and the house red which was v yummy. Overall would definitely come back again and would enjoy sampling more of their menu.”
“Came to Onda again after a year. It felt much easier to get a booking this time. The food was alright but I do think it was better on my previous visit. Portions aren’t particularly large. We had the focaccia and the prawn montanare as starters. The montanare had good flavour, although it was a little tough and chewy. The cacio e pepe was decent, but the presentation was quite plain. The mussel octopus pasta was ok but nothing that really stood out. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but I preferred it the last time I visited.”
