“Rania in DC was an extremely pleasant experience. The tasting menu was lights out delicious! We had a group of 3, one pescatarian, one vegetarian and someone with no dietary restrictions and the team curated a menu that pleased everyone to the Nth degree. The food had great spice flavors without being too spicy. I would highly recommend trying to unique and create fine dining experience of Indian food for a special occasion. Drinks were fab too, cheers.”
“I used to wonder how Chef Pete, not being Indian, could truly capture the essence of Indian cuisine. But after dining at Rania, a Michelin-starred restaurant, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The creativity, precision, and stunning presentation were genuinely impressive, while staying true to the soul of the flavors. If you’re in DC, this is an absolute must-try.”
“Tried their 4-course prix fixe menu, and every single dish was incredibly flavorful, creative, and beautifully executed. It was a true modern take on Indian cuisine, with each course offering something unique while staying true to its roots. The presentation was stunning, and the service was warm, attentive, and made the entire experience even more memorable. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and there wasn't a single course that disappointed. This is truly a gem and easily one of the best restaurants I've dined at in the U.S. As someone who loves food and has been fortunate to eat at many incredible restaurants, I can confidently say this place stands out. If you're in DC, this is an absolute must-visit. Everyone should experience it at least once!”
“My family and I visited for the chef’s tasting menu and had an excellent experience. The dishes offered a great balance of flavors and textures, ranging from spicy to tangy, with each course feeling thoughtfully prepared. It was our first time trying upscale Indian cuisine, and it definitely exceeded expectations. The service and atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable, and we would absolutely return. As with many restaurants and venues in Washington, D.C., it’s a good idea to plan parking in advance.”
“This place is beautiful in terms of ambience and decor. For dinner, they only offer a prix fixe or chef's tasting menu. The menu looks interesting and portion sizes are good, but the flavor profile is just average — more Indian fusion than anything different . Cocktails are served with a lot of decorative elements but are not that great. Being mango season in India, we ordered the mango dessert — Häagen-Dazs mango ice cream is tastier. Vegetarian dishes like the chana masala Panisse, Murukku Chaat, and Beetroot Chop had better taste. Overall, this is not the place to experience traditional indian flavors.”
